Perfect Husband, The Destined One novel Chapter 3886

"Darryl!" shrieked a slightly disheveled Yvette.

With her back against the ropes and not possessing any sort of real ability, all Yvette could do was cry for help. Witnessing the pitiful scene had only made Grunt's grin even more apparent.

Holding his eerie smile, he continued, "You have violated the heavenly rules by protecting a demon. When word gets out, you will face countless public threats. You may be strong, but don't you think you're biting off more than you can chew here? You stand no chance against all the sects from the cultivation world."

With those last few words, Grunt expelled his power in an explosion and flew towards Darryl.

At the same time, the surrounding sect elites also launched a coordinated assault on Yvette.

"Get lost!" Darryl shouted; his voice trembled with anger as he sent Grunt a palm of his own.

Grunt's actions seemed to have ticked off Darryl quite profusely.

Bang!

In the next second, their palms collided. The shockwave that came after was the least of Grunt's worries. Instead, his body was forcefully pushed back a dozen meters from the remaining energy of the clash. Whereas Darryl was as still as a statue. Grunt really was outclassed this time. He took some time to recover from the fall. In the meantime, Darryl capitalized on the situation by grabbing Yvette and making a run for it.

As soon as Darryl exited the Hall of Flame, he waved his hand, casting his Heavenly Sparrow Spiritual Flame, which quickly formed a wall of crimson fire behind him.

Hiss!

Even from a distance, Grunt and the other sect elites could feel the intense heat on their skin. Startled by the sudden scorching flames, Grunt and the others jumped backwards, allowing Darryl and Yvette to escape the ancient tomb. When they realized what had happened, Grunt's expression turned sour.
