"Darryl," Yvette whispered, her voice muffled. "My body feels terrible. I feel like dying…"
Yvette's eyes were bloodshot red and her body was incredibly frail. With the remaining strength she had, she could barely lift a finger. Droplets of sweat slowly rolled down the side of her beet-red face, each droplet equally tormenting.
"Don't worry!" Darryl exclaimed, trying his best to comfort Yvette despite feeling immense pressure from the severity of her condition.
He held Yvette tightly in his embrace and continued, "I've got you. Let me help you gather some internal energy first!"
Then, he proceeded to help Yvette sat upright and pressed both his hands on her back in preparation for channeling energy into her.
'Huh?' Darryl became flustered. He was dumbfounded when he realized an enormous source of internal energy within Yvette. That was the least of his worries. Yvette's internal energy gave off an evil vibe and it was almost like the internal energy originated from a demon itself. It was no surprise that her body rejected Darryl's Fairy Soul Energy.
Yvette's internal energy had opposed Darryl's instead of guiding it. On top of that, her internal energy had reminded Darryl of the ugly man, someone he had encountered during his visit to the Ghost World.
'Fiend Soul!' Darryl's mind could not help but suspect. 'Could it be that what Grunt said was true? Is this the demonic energy coming from the bead from Janson's Hall of fame?'
He let out a deep breath as he snapped out of his train of thought that boggled his mind. He stared directly into Yvette's eyes and said, "Yvette, no matter if you are a demon or not, I will still be by your side. I can't restore your internal energy, so you'll have to do it yourself. All I can do now is provide you emotional support…"
…
On the other side of the world, amongst the Carter family.
