Perfect Husband, The Destined One novel Chapter 4077

Immediately, many warriors and chiefs nodded in agreement. 'Darryl is right too. The demons had been held captive for so many years and it wasn't easy for us to come out of it. We should recharge instead of joining a war on a whim.'

"There are tens of thousands of Demon Warriors. Why should they listen to an outsider like you? Do you think you can dictate our fate just because you're our benefactor?" Oliver scoffed and shouted, sounding indignant as he spoke.

He had an issue with Darryl ever since the incident with Leia. When he saw Darryl had suggested the demons migrate and that the White Tiger King had accepted that suggestion, he felt more disturbed.

Suddenly, a loud voice sounded from behind, "You brute!"

The Black Tortoise King, who had been seated, jumped to his feet and scurried over. He then slapped Oliver hard. He was shocked, angry and almost frightened to death. 'D*mn it! Oliver was being a brute. How dare he challenge Darryl in front of everyone? If I let him be, how can the Black Tortoise race keep a foothold amongst the demons?'

The Black Tortoise King had almost exhausted his energy. Oliver covered his face and staggered a few steps back. He was stunned and his face was swollen.

At that split second, the entire stone castle was pin-drop silent.

Quickly, Oliver snapped out of it and shouted while he looked at the Black Tortoise King pitifully. "Father, did I say something wrong? This is an issue among the demons. Why would an outsider have a say in it–"

Then, the Black Tortoise King slapped him again as he grunted, "Ridiculous! Darryl, His Excellency, was the one who saved us from suffering. How could he be an outsider? Though we're demons, we should always have gratitude. What have I been teaching you?!"

However, Oliver was not resigned to the situation and yelled with his bloodshot eyes, "Even so, the fate of the demons should not be in his hands!"
