Perfect Husband, The Destined One novel Chapter 4083

The White Tiger King had also not exposed Darryl's identity in front of General Grunt, and lied that he was the hero of the demons. Since then, Oliver guessed that there was bad blood between Darryl and General Grunt. Otherwise, Darryl would not have sabotaged himself and hidden his identity.

It was also because of that that Oliver decided to put all of his eggs in one basket by bringing his people to General Grunt to join an alliance. However, after meeting General Grunt, he thought he would verify his presumptions.

As General Grunt heard Oliver mention Darryl's name, his face turned dark, and deep down, he was on guard. 'D*mn it. Did the White Tiger King send Oliver to set me up?'

After a second thought, Darryl was not there with him. The White Tiger King and the demons would not have known how he plotted against Darryl. Therefore, the White Tiger King had no reason to set him up.

As he wondered to himself, General Grunt looked at Oliver and said coldly, "Mister, what do you mean? Darryl is the Nine Heaven Sage of the Godly Region, second only to the Nine Heaven Emperor. I look up to him without the slightest disrespect. Why would there be bad blood between us? You shouldn't say that anymore."

General Grunt was extremely cautious. He would not say a word before confirming Oliver's motive.

Oliver burst out laughing. "Looks like you still refuse to believe me."

"How so?" General Grunt's face changed and he asked.

"If there was no bad blood between the two of you, why did Darryl hide his identity in front of you? Plus, why did the White Tiger King help him hide his identity?" Oliver said, taking a deep breath.

'Huh?' General Grunt was shocked and said, "Mister Oliver, what exactly are you saying? Stop beating around the bush."

He looked calm, but deep down, he was frantic. Based on what Oliver just said, he found out Darryl was not involved in the blood sacrifice at the Sealed Fiend Mountain, but instead, he had come to the demons' territory.

Oliver grinned at General Grunt's response. "Looks like you're still in the dark."
