The White Tiger King turned to look at Colori Phoenix before he said, "And then Colori gave you the Red Sparrow Pill to suppress the effects of the essence in your body."
Colori Phoenix smiled faintly, shaking her head. "I did nothing, Your Highness. The Demon tribe is one big family. I was only doing what I had to do."
Leia froze. She was at a loss for words.
Honorable Master Darby had tried to take advantage of her? Nothing of the sort happened at all.
"Leia!'
Just then, a figure approached her rapidly. It was Mona.
Mona clutched Leia's arm. Anger and disgust were written all over her delicate features. "You shouldn't have been so kind to that b*stard, Leia, all he had were unsavory intentions. But karma is real—Darryl Darby was captured by the fiend tribe right after Oliver rescued you. What a b*stard! I hope the fiend tribe tears him apart."
Mona's words washed over Leia like a bucket of ice water.
"That's not true."
Leia finally snapped back to her senses. She shook her head and tried to explain what had happened to the White Tiger King. "That's not what happened. Honorable Master Darby is a noble man. He never took advantage of me and never drugged me with Essence of Delusion. You're all severely mistaken."
What?
Everyone, including the White Tiger King, Colori Phoenix, and Mona, froze at her words.
Not Darryl Darby? Who had it been, then?
"Leia!" The White Tiger King took a deep breath as he stared intently at Leia. Then, he asked, "If Darryl Darby didn't give you the Essence of Delusion, then who did?"
Everyone's focus zeroed in on Leia as they waited for her answer.
Leia did not respond immediately. She cast a look around her, scanning the room before she spotted Oliver at the door. With a tremble and a burst of rage, she raised her finger to point at him and roar, "He did."
Leia hopped off the bed and rushed toward Oliver. She raised her hand and brought it down onto his face, slapping him harshly.
Leia put all her force and rage into that slap. Oliver fell backward as a stream of blood trickled from his mouth with a dull hum.
