Oliver tailed behind everyone else as he was in a wheelchair. He was pleased when he saw Darryl's lack of reaction.
"Darryl!"
Oliver wheeled himself out and slowed his pace when he was in front of Darryl. He whispered, "You're just faking your surrender, aren't you?"
Darryl looked at him without saying a word.
Oliver smirked coldly. "You don't have to answer me. I know you're not working with the demons. You're only trying to sneak further in and eventually disintegrate the entire tribe, right? I'm telling you now, as long as I'm alive, you won't be able to get what you want.
"Also, I suggest you stop trying to save the Demon tribe. You saw my legs—it's all because of that b*tch, Mona. The White Tiger Tribe and the Demon tribe will pay a hefty price for that!" he said as his face twisted into a heinous expression. Then, he wheeled himself out of the tent.
Darryl took a long breath as he was stunned. He was filled with rage, but at the same time, he pitied Oliver.
How unfortunate of the Black Tortoise King to have a son like Oliver. It was a curse to the entire Demon tribe.
He thought about that as he strode out of the tent.
A few minutes later, Morticia had gathered almost 20,000 troops without reporting to Archfiend Antigonus. She proudly led them toward the Demon tribe's new territory.
Oliver followed closely behind Morticia the entire time. He felt unusually high-spirited.
If he managed to execute the Demon tribe, it would mean that he had significantly contributed to the mission. It might earn him an important position with the fiend race. Of course, he was ecstatic about that.
Darryl, on the other hand, was silent throughout the journey.
They arrived at the territory half an hour later and were shocked by the scene before them.
An empty land greeted them; there was not a single soul in that place.
It was as if the whole demon tribe had vanished out of thin air.
Oliver was stunned into speechlessness as anxiety slowly took control of his body. He could not believe it.
There were still tens of thousands of troops when he was kicked out of the demon tribe a day ago. On top of that, the White Tiger King had ordered tighter security around the area.
