Aside from Oliver, Darryl was the second most suspicious person among everyone else.
Darryl had helped the demons escape before. On top of that, he was close to the White Tiger King and Colori Phoenix. If it was not him who leaked the message, who else could it be?
At that moment, the fiend race warriors had their eyes on him.
Suddenly, the air was filled with tension.
Darryl was utterly calm as he smiled lightly at Morticia. "Honorable Fiend Martyr, you overestimated me. I've been by your side the moment you decided to come to the Demon tribe's new territory. I would not be able to do that even if I wanted to leak the message," Darryl said with a calm demeanor.
That made sense.
Morticia nodded without questioning him any further.
Oliver was not satisfied as he said, "Honorable Fiend Martyr, don't listen to his excuses. He's the sneakiest person I know. Who knew what he really did to inform the demons? I say we bound and interrogate him—"
Oliver glared at Darryl with absolute detest.
Oliver had always wished for Darryl's death. Of course, he would not let any chance slip by his hands.
"Enough! I know what I'm doing. You're in no place to tell me what to do." Morticia cut him off coldly. Her voice was firm and packed with power.
Oliver kept silent when he saw Morticia's expression, but he continued to throw icy glares at Darryl.
Morticia scanned her surroundings and said, "Inspect your surroundings. Check for any evidence left by the demons before they departed."
The fiend warriors hummed in agreement and spread out to look for evidence within the area.
Ten minutes passed in the blink of an eye, but the warriors came up empty-handed. Morticia's face was frozen in rage as fury shot through her vein.
'D*mn it! I thought we would be able to take down the demons with Oliver leading the team. I can't believe there is only disappointment.'
'We can't even find a single piece of evidence,' she thought.
