At that moment, Solar General spat out blood and he had exhausted his energy. However, his eyes were wide open. Even in his death, he did not understand what happened to him though he did not betray the Godly Region.
Then, General Grunt picked up the golden gun and rushed towards the Nine Heaven Emperor. He got onto his knees and pretended. "Your Majesty, I was too furious and I couldn't control myself. Please, punish me."
As he spoke, he kept his head low and did not dare to look at the Nine Heaven Emperor.
The Nine Heaven Emperor sighed and waved his hand. "Forget it. You did the right thing. If everyone could be loyal to me like you are, why would I need to worry about Archfiend Antigonus? Prepare the countermeasures I told you earlier. We must be ready before dawn."
"Yes, Your Majesty," General Grunt answered and scurried out of the secret chamber as he brought out Solar General's corpse.
As he stepped out of the secret chamber, he smirked and his mood lightened up.
'Solar General is dead now and I don't have to worry anymore,' he thought as he looked at Solar General's body.
"Solar General, don't blame me for being heartless to you. I have to do that in order to take credit for myself," he murmured to himself.
Then, he called over a few Grand Weapons and ordered them to handle Solar General's corpse.
After that, General Grunt gathered dozens of generals and started to alter the Innate Formation surrounding the Imperial Sky Palace according to the Nine Heaven Emperor's instructions.
…
Meanwhile, Darryl had returned to the tent at the fiend race camp and saw that the Black Tortoise King was waiting impatiently.
"How was it?" The Black Tortoise King quickly asked as he saw Darryl had returned.
"I've passed the letter to Solar General and told him to pass it to the Nine Heaven Emperor. I'm sure by now, the Nine Heaven Emperor has seen the letter," Darryl said, smiling.
'Great.' The Black Tortoise King was excited and scowled. "But, the Nine Heaven Emperor is always suspicious. Do you think he'll believe what you've written?"
