In the next moment, Morticia disappeared into the teleport gateway with a flash of light.
The other Fiend Martyrs ascended to the sky to fight Jade Immortal with Archfiend Antigonus.
…
Darryl had no idea how long had he been unconscious but he felt like he was having a long dream. In the dream, he entered an endless chaotic void, without a trace of light. Finally, he opened his eyes.
Instantly, he felt horrible pain all over his body, especially his back. He felt a tearing pain which almost caused him to pass out again.
'D*mn it!' Darryl gritted his teeth and was furious. 'Morticia was heartless for erupting that red laser beam. What the h*ck was that? Luckily I was reborn via the Red Lotus Fayette. Otherwise, I'd be dead by now.'
As he endured the massive pain, Darryl looked around and he was baffled. 'Huh?'
There was a boundless forest with lush trees that almost obscured the sky and he could not see where he was.
'Where am I? Is The Nine Mainland or another human world?' he thought, gritting his teeth as he tried to stand.
However, he realized that he was extremely weak and could not exert any energy. He failed to stand after attempting multiple times; he was helpless.
'I can't even stand. What should I do? Am I going to just die here? Will there be beasts in this forest?' he thought.
Rustle…
As Darryl was panicking, he heard the sound of a few footsteps coming from nearby. Soon, he saw a few mountain people walk over. They were dressed in plain clothes and carried bamboo baskets as if they had been collecting herbs on the mountain.
'Great.' Seeing the mountain people, Darryl was rather emotional. His first response was to ask for help, but to his shock, he could not say a word and could only make the sound Ah, ah.
