Darryl sighed and thought that he could not depend on anyone else besides himself. He closed his eyes and began to feel the blood lotus marks on his body. Jade Immortal had said the marks contained the energy of the Red Lotus Fayette. As long as he could merge those energies, he would be able to be back at the top.
Soon, Darryl started cultivating and his mind became clear. To his surprise, he realized the blood lotus marks would give off strange energy, slowly converging towards his meridian. As the energy gradually converged, the pain in his body had lessened.
At that moment, Darryl was excited. Jade Immortal did not lie to him and the Red Lotus Fayette was indeed beneficial.
As Darryl was immersed in his cultivation, suddenly, sounds of footsteps came from the mountains nearby. However, this time the footsteps sounded hurried. Not only that but a series of conversations was heard.
"Heroine, the monster is just ahead of us."
"The monster is terrifying nd has red hair all over. Heroine, be careful!"
"Yeah."
Hearing those conversations, Darryl was baffled and forced a smile. The mountain people, who ran away earlier, had returned with a new helper.
As Darryl muttered to himself, he heard a sweet voice saying, "Don't worry. If it's a monster, I'll protect everyone."
Hearing that sweet voice, Darryl felt like a spring breeze. He then looked up and was stunned.
A young lady was walking towards him among the crowded mountain people. Dressed in a long, pale-yellow dress, the lady was slim, tall, and alluring. She looked like she was in her twenties and her hair was tied up. Her twinkling eyes were revealed above her white veil.
On her right hand was a delicate longsword. She was a disciple in the cultivating world. Her body and charm were outstanding and her face was decent.
