Prince Auten decided to get the Barely Immortal drunk, and then he would find a chance to frame him.
As he thought about that, he immediately cheered up. He smiled and slowly stood up.
"Mother Empress!"
Prince Auten said, "I'll drink to them too." He looked at Darryl in the distance unintentionally.
Empress Heidi was stunned. "Are you planning to toast to them?"
She was stunned. Her son had always been arrogant and proud. He bowed to no one. She was surprised to hear that he wanted to bow and drink to his opponent.
Prince Auten smiled and said, "Even though Aurin and I are competitors, no matter what, they succeeded in taming Shakun today. That had saved the Godly Region much trouble. It's only right that I toast to them. Also, that shows that we are generous too, right?"
Prince Auten did not mean anything by what he said, but he had already decided that he would not tell his mother about how he planned to frame them. After all, he was not proud of that.
Empress Heidi nodded in relief. "I am pleased that you have such generosity. Go."
Even though Empress Heidi wanted her son to become the next emperor, she hoped that he would not become a tyrant but an emperor everyone would look up to. Thus, at that moment, she was delighted to see the change in his attitude.
Prince Auten went over and raised his glass to Darryl. He chuckled and said, "Your Excellency, I am here to drink to you too."
Prince Auten smiled widely; he looked very polite!
The officials were stunned. Prince Auten went to toast to the Barely Immortal? That did not seem like him.
Darryl and Prince Aurin were stunned too. They looked at each other, baffled.
The next second, Darryl calmly said, "Your Highness, you are too polite."
He might have said that, but he did not immediately lift his glass.
