Perfect Husband, The Destined One novel Chapter 4721

Darryl was at a loss for words.

F*ck, Cloud Spirit was going a little too far, was she not? She made the first move, but it became his fault.

Darryl could not be bothered to pursue the situation. Instead, he turned around to leave to continue resting on the grass.

"Stand there!"

Cloud Spirit did not seem to want to let up. Her eyes flickered as she glared at Darryl suspiciously.

"Tell the truth. Was it you who put that toad next to me?"

To her, Barely Immortal must have known she was afraid of toads and thus, put one next to her on purpose. Yes, that was the case for sure.

Motherf*cker!

Darryl instantly lost his patience. He chuckled softly and replied, "That's a pretty bold claim you're making. What business do I have trying to scare you? I don't even know you, so don't be pointing fingers. Also, I have no interest in scaring people with toads."

As he spoke, Darryl did not wish to waste his breath any further. He turned to leave.

"You…"

Cloud Spirit could hardly contain her anger. Yet just as she was about to speak, she heard footsteps coming their way. Following that, over ten Demon Warriors rushed over to surround them.

"Who are you?"

The head Demon Warrior cast Darryl a glance before looking at Cloud Spirit. "How dare you enter forbidden Demon territory? Tell the truth, or you'll pay."

Forbidden Demon territory?

Both Darryl and Cloud Spirit were startled by his words.

The next second, Darryl looked into the distance using the glow of the firesticks the Demon Warriors held. He saw a wooden sign behind a tree that read, 'Forbidden Demon Territory. All Trespassers Shall Be Executed'.

Crap, they were not kidding.

Since when did the swamp turn into forbidden Demon territory?

Darryl clearly remembered that when the Fiend race and the Godly Region were at war, the Demon tribe chose to move to a different land to avoid being part of the battle. If his calculations were correct, they had barely been in the new land for half a year.

Darryl could not afford to waste time giving it any further thought. He turned to smile at the head Demon warrior.

"Don't be mistaken, sir. We didn't mean to come in here. We were just passing by. We just thought we'd spend the night here resting since it's getting dark."
