The Demon Warriors did not give Cloud Spirit a chance to respond. They flocked to her immediately, tying her and Darryl up before heading for their headquarters.
"Hey!"
On the way, Cloud Spirit managed to find a chance to whisper to Darryl, "We're going to pretend we don't know each other when we see that White Tiger King. Got it?"
As she spoke, Cloud could not hide the disdain in her gaze.
It was that old geezer's fault. If it were not for him, she would not have been seized by the Demon tribe.
Cloud Spirit had thought it through. She would pretend that she had nothing to do with Darryl if it brought on any further troubles should they be questioned by the White Tiger King.
Darryl was startled. He answered with the ghost of a smile on his face.
"Are you sure that's the best idea?"
"Yes, do you have a better plan?" Cloud Spirit scoffed impatiently.
Darryl nodded. He murmured, "Wow, trying to cut ties before seeing the White Tiger King? We'll see if you come crawling back for my help later."
The pair spoke softly, but the Demon warrior in front of them caught them. He shouted instantly, "What are you two mumbling about? Shut up!"
Darryl smiled wordlessly.
…
Following Morticia's lead, the Sea Dragon army had begun their attack on the Ice Fire Island of the Nine Continents!
They had appeared out of nowhere at daybreak, just as the Fire Island guards swapped shifts. The Sea Dragon arm moved fast, taking down every last man they saw on the Ice Fire Island.
The island was in total chaos. No one would have guessed that pirates would have attacked. It was important to note that pirates steered clear of the Ice Fire Island in the past thousands of years as there had been many strong pirates who tried to take over the island but had failed spectacularly.
After all, the island was not only fiercely guarded by powerful forces, but it was also strategically located for it to be impossible to attack but easy to guard.
Amidst their panic, the island's defenses had been quickly taken down by the Sea Dragon army in a ruthless bloodbath. The pirates stopped at nothing, and the Ice Fire Island members rapidly lost strength.
However, they did not back down as they fought to the very end. They knew how cruel the pirates could be and that there would be nothing but endless tragedy in store if the island went down.
