Zephyr's tone hardened as he observed the hesitation on Zack's face. He sounded annoyed as he asked, "Is something the matter? Do you not wish to do so, Your Highness?"
Zack smiled sheepishly as he opened his mouth. "You see, Chester and his men wreaked great havoc in the royal city. One of them even pretended to be the Empress—an intolerable, huge crime of treason. I've ordered for them to be executed tomorrow, so I don't really think it's necessary to send them to the Heaven Watchers."
Zephyr frowned. "How dare you!"
Levin pointed at Zack as he shouted accusingly, "You've got quite some nerve for a mere mortal Emperor, daring to make such bargains with Heaven Watchers. Do you know that Darryl Darby has committed an impossible crime, and all of the Carters are to be held guilty as a result? Do we really need your permission to take them away for questioning? Could your say hold bigger authority than that of the Gods?"
As he spoke, Levin's tone was sharp and incriminating. His aura radiated through the air.
All four brothers had their faces covered by golden masks which concealed their expressions. The masks also brought about that mysterious air of authority.
Gulp!
Zack's chest thudded in fear as he almost fell to his knees. "No, no, I wouldn't dare. The Watchers are far more powerful than a mere mortal like me. I would never dare meddle in your affairs."
As he spoke, Zack flailed an arm in one of the guards' direction. "Quick, have the criminals brought out and handed over to the Honorable Watchers."
Zack was nothing but helpless. The lies that he had painstakingly weaved previously were all for nothing.
There was nothing he could do. Those were Heaven Watchers he was dealing with. How could he dare offend them?
"Alright!"
The guard called out in response, scurrying off to the dungeon with a few men to lead Chester and the rest out.
The four Dixon brothers exchanged a glance, unspeakably excited and overwhelmed. Ha ha, the Young Mister's plan had actually worked! And they had even thought that Zack would try something, but this had been easier than they even thought.
Yet at the sight of Chester himself, the four Dixon brothers could not find it in themselves to smile anymore, their joy instead replaced with fury.
They could clearly see Chester, Dax, Ambrose, and the rest covered in wounds and blood. Dax, in particular, was sporting about ten huge slashes on his body. The blood flowing from the wounds had not stopped flowing yet, making it look like he was drenched in blood.
Motherf*cker…
The next second, Levin clenched his fists. He was about to make a move when Zephyr stopped him.
