Darryl seemed unfazed by her imploring tactics and appeared to be at ease.
He had always had a favorable view of Sandra. He did not want to pursue the matter because she had asked for that personally. He leaned back on his chair, cracking his neck. "Damn, I'd be a real *sshole to turn you down, wouldn't I? Well, I didn't sleep too well last night, I think. My neck seems to be a little stiff.
"My legs ache quite a bit, too. It'd be nice if someone could give me a massage, don't you think?"
As the words rang through the air, Sandra's cheeks flushed red as she squirmed with discomfort.
Did Derrick mean that he wanted her to massage him?
She was still among the most esteemed disciples of the Heavenly Dragon Sect, and she maintained her purity. How embarrassing would that be if word got out that she gave a man a massage in front of all those people?
At the same time, Ronny's expression shifted as well. He stared intently at Darryl, furious but not daring to utter a word.
F*ck!
'Sandra is mine. How dare Derrick Darby ask her for a back rub?' How would that do? Yet, upon second thought, his life was in Darryl's hands. The slightest wrong move might result in his powers being forcefully taken from him or even his life.
Ronny could only lower his head in shame.
Darryl saw Ronny's response, and his chest skipped with ease.
'Where'd all that cockiness go, Ronny? Trying to pick on me all the time? Take that! I will have the girl of your dreams give me a massage. Let's see how you feel about that.'
Darryl pretended to cough at the sight of Sandra standing in front of him shyly, speaking in a pitying tone. "It seems like no one wants to give me a massage. That's fine, then. I'll return to the Pill Tower and have my elixir assistant give me one."
Darryl rose from his chair, moving to leave the Wild Crane Restaurant.
"Don't—"
Ronny thought his heart was about to fall out of his chest when he realized Darryl was about to leave. "Don't go!" he shouted.
Ronny's expression twisted in agony as he begged Sandra. "I don't want to die, Senior Sister."
