Darryl was not done. He took a sip from his teacup and said, "Miss Swanson. I'm only forgiving him this once and only because of you.
"I'm sure you know your junior brother's temper better than mine. After he's woken up, tell him that if he abuses his power to bully people again in the future or disrespects me one more time, he won't be as lucky as he was today. Got it?"
Darryl was smiling as he spoke, but his eyes shone brightly.
Indeed, Darryl had meant everything he had said. If it had not been for Sandra's presence, there was no way Darryl would have forgiven Ronny. He would have at least taken Ronny's powers away.
Whew…
Sandra's heart raced with panic as she met Darryl's eyes.
Derrick's gaze was razor-sharp.
He was much more than a man who knew a little about medicine. With a gaze like that, could he be someone with hidden power—much more than a good-for-nothing?
Sandra had believed the man in front of him to be the Stanford family's son-in-law, the town's gambling addict, up until that point.
At that thought, Sandra did not dare to retaliate as she nodded hastily. "Don't worry, Sect Master. I'll pass your words on to my junior brother."
'Alright!'
Darryl nodded. His gaze calmed as he continued to grin. "It'd be best if you are fair in your judgment and hold no biases! Come on, don't just stand there. Have a seat."
As he spoke, Darryl had his men carry Ronny away and usher the Pure Yang Division disciples out of the Wild Crane Restaurant.
Only Darryl and Sandra were left in the massive room.
There was a little tension in the air, possibly because of the massage that had happened.
Sandra tried to calm her feelings, settling herself into a chair under Darryl's warm hospitality.
Darryl was in quite a good mood. He smiled and asked, "I heard the Heavenly Dragon Sect recently uncovered an ancient tomb and found a good number of pills. Is that so?"
"Yes!"
Sandra rushed to stand, retrieving an exquisite box that she opened before placing it in front of the table before Darryl.
