Veron had nearly used all of her internal energy on the ambush.
Heather was shocked to see the ambush. She realized Veron had been pretending. "You… Veron, what are you doing?"
It never crossed Heather's mind to think Veron was such a wicked person.
Her viciousness and cold-bloodedness showed entirely on Veron's exquisite face.
"Don't call me that. I'm not close to you. I didn't want to do this either, but you stole Ambrose from me. Now, die!"
Veron applied even more internal energy to her palm.
Under those circumstances, Heather tried to evade it, but the distance was too close. However, she could not avoid it, and the palm slapped on her chest and created a vibration sound.
Heather groaned in pain, and her body bounced a couple of meters away. Then, her body dropped into the lake, and blood poured out from the corner of her mouth. The pain slowly struck her body, and she could hardly tolerate it. She nearly fainted.
"You…"
Heather furiously glared at Veron. She wanted to scold Veron, but her condition did not allow her to speak more than a word. Her heart vein was severely injured, and her elixir field and internal energy were in shambles.
Luckily, Heather had cultivated a unique cultivation method from the Sea Mackie Clan. She had used the special cultivation method to protect her body from the ambush. It helped to offset some of the power, or she could have died.
Veron was delighted that her ambush was a success. She quickly got on her feet and acted in a superior manner.
She laughed at Heather and taunted, "How dare an idiot woman like you be with Ambrose? There can never be too much deception in a fight. Don't you know that theory?"
Veron grabbed her longsword, slowly walked toward Heather, and spat, "I'm the only one who has the right to be Ambrose's wife."
Her eyes were filled with murderous intent.
Since Ambrose was not around, no one would know that Veron was the one who killed Heather.
Heather panicked and was furious to see Veron getting closer and closer.
