What…
Zacho and Gigi frowned. Could it be that Vincent was right, and the antidote was fake?
Hoho…
Just as everyone pondered to themselves, Vincent smirked coldly as he got to his feet to stare at Darryl.
"Oh, Darryl Darby. I'm sure everyone can see more than clearly how things are now. Your antidote doesn't work."
"Ha, your skills don't match your position as the head of the Elixir Sector. Well, don't be a sore loser. Get out of the Pure Yang Division, and quit fooling other people."
As he spoke, Vincent's expression was nothing but smug.
It seemed that he had guessed correctly. The pupil had not reacted at all, proving that the medicine was indeed fake.
Crap!
Gigi's chest flooded with nerves as she began to panic slightly.
Could Darryl really have been wrong? The antidote that Magnum had dropped in his haste to escape was fake after all? If that was the case, Darryl's humiliation was bearable.
It was the Pure Yang Division's reputation that was at stake.
In the face of Vincent's relentless jeering, Darryl merely chuckled, paying him no mind.
Vincent was truly angered at that point.
F*ck!
The results had been revealed, and Darryl was still so proud. How dare he?
Amidst his anger, Vincent was about to shout at Darryl in a fury.
"Cough cough…"
It was just then that the pupil that sat cross-legged the entire time launched into a coughing fit before spitting out a mouthful of dark blood onto the ground.
Upon doing so, the pupil's pale face regained some color as he turned to say respectfully to Zacho, "The antidote's real! I feel much better now. Thank you for the medicine, Sect Master."
As he spoke, he did not forget to look at Darryl.
As his words rang through the air, the hall broke into discussion. Everyone, including Zacho and the surrounding servants, had an unreadable expression on their faces.
