As he spoke, Darryl scratched at his head. "I'm not getting an ounce of sincerity."
"You…"
Vincent could hardly contain his anger at the look on Darryl's face. F*ck, he had said sorry, did he not? What more did Darryl want?
At the indignant look on Vincent's face, Darryl smiled lightly. "We agreed earlier that you would serve me tea on top of apologizing. Did you forget that?"
Vincent held back his anger, pouring a cup of tea and bringing it to Darryl.
Darryl was not going to forgive him so easily. Nevertheless, he showed no intention of taking the cup as he asked, "Is this how you apologize to your master when you've made a mistake, Vincent?"
Huh?
Vincent's expression darkened as he said in a displeased tone, "What are you trying to say?"
Darryl smiled. "I'm at about the same status as your master. Since you've made a mistake, you have to be disciplined."
"I don't think it's too much for me to ask you to kneel when you serve me the tea, is it?"
Vincent's anger skyrocketed. He wanted nothing more than to fling the cup at Darryl and leave with a brush of his sleeves. Unfortunately, Zacho and the others were there, so he held back his fury.
"Fine. I'll kneel."
The next second, the words left Vincent's lips as he dropped to his knees, kneeling before Darryl and holding the cup high.
"I offended you with my words earlier, Sect Master. Please be generous, and forgive me for my insolence."
Truthfully, Vincent did not wish to kneel to Darryl, but he had no choice. He had come to the North Sea Galaxy to talk business, and would be laughed at by them for sure if he were to go back on his word. That would only do more damage to the Heavenly Ocean Sect's reputation.
Despite the apology leaving his lips, Vincent felt nothing but murderous.
F*ck! How dare Darryl humiliate him like that? He would make sure that Darryl paid the price in the future for sure.
