Perfect Husband, The Destined One novel Chapter 5262

Nevertheless, Lumi never thought she would meet Darryl so quickly, only moments after leaving the underground city. What a small world it was. She could not hold back her rage when she remembered the harassment she had endured as a result of Darryl.

Darryl felt helpless as he witnessed Lumi's rage and her treatment of him as her adversary. He smiled bitterly and said, "Why do you always look at me as if I have murdered your parents, Lumi? Consider this—was I the one who rescued you from the underground city? You would still be trapped in the stone ruin if it were not for me. Because of the hallucination, you treated me as your eldest sister and wanted me to clear your meridians. Why are you blaming me?"

Lumi's exquisite face blushed when Darryl finished talking. She stomped her feet angrily, "You shut up!"

'Why does he need to say it aloud? I am already embarrassed by what happened. I know it is just my sisters here, but it is still inappropriate to say that!'

Meanwhile, Alora and her sister began to chastise Darryl.

"Stop behaving like a hippie! Nothing but nonsense is coming from your mouth. Damn you!"

"We should not let that loser continue to roam in the world of cultivators to bring more harm to other people."

"That's right. We must not let him escape this time. Let's take revenge for Andres and Lumi!"

Alora and the sisters yelled and drew their longswords in unison. The mood became solemn and tense, and the temperature around them dropped a few degrees.

"You—" Lindsey could not help herself and took a step forward, yelling at Lumi and her sisters, "Why do you want to kill Brother Darryl? He is a nice guy!"

Lumi frowned and examined Lindsey from head to toe. At the same time, Alora and the other sisters focused their visions on Lindsey. Alora was the first to realize what was going on. She gave Lindsey a complicated look and said, "I am guessing you are a descendant of the Heavenly Secret Palace, little girl. Did this jerk threaten you? Don't be afraid. You are welcome to come with us once we have killed him."

The rest of the sisters nodded in agreement with Lumi. The Hexa Swordmaidens, like Preston, assumed Darryl used some kind of method to enchant Lindsey since it was an easy job as Lindsey was just a kid.

"I—" Lindsey bit her lip and said seriously, looking at Alora and her sisters' expressions. "He's not controlling me. I wanted to be the one to follow him. All the men from the underground city are bad guys. They were curious about the Heavenly Secret Palace's mysterious cultivation method. Darryl was the one who rescued me. He is a nice guy, not a loser as you claimed." She said it sincerely and solemnly, not allowing anyone to refute her.

However, the more serious she was, the more the Hexa Swordmaiden did not believe her.

"Darryl!" Lumi could no longer stand it. She took a step forward, her eyes unable to conceal her rage. She yelled, "Darryl! If you still consider yourself a man, then let the little girl go and fight us like a man! What kind of man would manipulate a young girl and use her as a shield?"

Darryl could not help but laugh when he heard that accusation. He looked at Lumi and sarcastically said, "You must be blind. I was not the one who initiated either Andres' death or the incident in the underground city. Why do you keep bothering me? Besides, I have already fought all of you in the underground city, and none of you have been able to defeat me. Why do you want to go through it all over again and humiliate yourself?" He shook his head helplessly after finishing his sentence.

"You—" Lumi's face flushed with rage. She did not know how to respond because Darryl was right. Darryl always had the upper hand when they fought, and the Hexa Swordmaidens were no match for him.

"Darryl, stop feeling so good about yourself," Alora shouted as Lumi was in an extreme rage. "You lied to us, so we underestimated your power. That was why you managed to escape. But you won't be so lucky this time."
