What a crazy woman.
At the sight, Darryl could not help but ponder to himself: this lady could actually hold her pain in, even after being injured so seriously.
Darryl got closer and closer, pointing his long sword at Rachelle's chest. "I'm going to ask you one last time. Where is the Palace Master?"
As he spoke, Darryl's eyes flashed bloodshot as he was starting to be unable to hold back his anger for much longer.
Rachelle looked at the blade pointed her way quietly, her exquisite features not showing any emotion. "I won't care even if you kill me. You're not going to get away today."
Just an hour ago, Prince Auten had specifically instructed Rachelle to lure him into this formation the second she saw him.
Rachelle was completely under control then, and did completely as Prince Auten asked. To her, there was nothing more important than carrying out the duties he set for her— not even her own life.
F*ck!
Darryl gritted his teeth at the sight of Rachelle's determined expression, both angered yet helpless.
To Darryl, Rachelle was indeed wrong for plotting against him— but she did not deserve to die. He honestly could not bring himself to kill her.
Whew…
A few seconds later, Darryl took a deep breath as he looked at Rachelle with the ghost of a smile on his face. "Rachelle, do you think you're going to be able to stop me with a simple Five Delusions Formation? You think too little of me, darling.""
Darryl thought then that his opponent was only of the opinion that victory would be hers because of the formation, and that was why she was so confident.
Rachelle looked at him blankly, not responding.
Just then, Darryl did not bother to waste further words. He summoned the magical energy around him, raising a hand to send a wave of powerful energy rolling out around him.
The energy whipped around the palace as the rocks shattered one by one. In an instant, the Five Delusions Formation had been destroyed.
Upon doing so, Darryl looked at Rachelle with a pleased expression. "Bet you didn't see that coming, did you?"
Yet he did not expect for Rachelle's expression to remain completely neutral. It was as if the formation being destroyed had nothing to do with her.
