Perfect Husband, The Destined One novel Chapter 5676

Upon hearing Veron's story, Chester and Darryl exchanged glances with an unreadable expression.

They furrowed their brows. There was no way that the story was as simple as it sounded.

It was important to know that Jacob and Circe had feelings for each other, and they had already established that they wanted to be with each other. Thus, Veron's story did not really add up.

It did not make sense.

What frustrated Darryl even more was Tuji.

The Elysium Gate had a good relationship with the Lange family, and they had met a good number of times. Thus, Darryl knew Tuji well enough to know that he was a strict, disciplined person.

However, Zenyl's death was a mystery shrouded in questions, and Tuji had not been able to suss any of it out.

Just then, Darryl fell deep into thought as he exchanged a glance with Chester.

The next second, Darryl looked calmly at Veron. "Little miss, according to your story, I don't think Jacob is the killer."

Darryl had wandered the earth for many years, and he immediately knew that Jacob was probably framed.

Whoever framed him was not only cunning, but also extremely powerful to be doing such a thing in the Lange household.

What?

As the words rang through the air, Veron quivered as she stared at Darryl blankly.

'The killer is… someone else? How… How is that possible?'

At the thought, Veron shook her head as she said in a tone full of emotion, "That can't be. My grandfather took a look at my father's injuries, and his head was shattered by the 'Tai Mask' move of the Wudang Sect. Jacob learned this exact move two years ago, making him one of the Wudang Sect elites. The proof's right there. He's the killer."

Toward the end, Veron panicked as her chest bubbled with frustration and displeasure toward Darryl.
