Anthea was surprised.
When Anthea heard that, she was dumbfounded, and stiffened all over while sitting on the chair.
Seeing the panic and uneasiness on her face and that she kept rubbing her hands like a child, Adam knew what she was worried about. Then he explained with patience which was a rarity for him. "Don't worry. It's my house, the family building in the military region. My family don't live together with me."
Usually, when he came back from the army, he either returned to the Chin Family, or went back to his apartment.
Upon hearing this, Anthea relaxed a lot. "Oh!"
After all, it was late at night. If she really went to Adam's house, she might as well sleep on the streets!
However, when she thought that she was going to his home, she became a little nervous again. While she turned her head away to gasp, she felt her ears flushed.
She didn't expect that the apartment was not far from her school. It took less than 20 minutes to get there.
She saw a lot of white tall buildings, different from other ordinary apartments. There were guards in military uniforms at the gate. When Adam swiped his card to get in there, the guards saluted him.
The jeep was parked in the underground garage. They took the elevator to the 17th floor. Each floor got two household. After Adam entered the password, the anti-theft door opened. Then he turned sideways and let her in.
Anthea stepped in with his help and stood on the gray cushion.
She stood there and asked hesitantly, "Uncle, is this your future home for Aunt?"
Adam seemed to be stunned. He shook his head and said, "No."
Upon hearing this, Anthea could not help feeling relieved. If this house was for Adam and her aunt Rory, she would inexplicably feel a little resistant and did not want to sleep here.
She put her hand on the wall and jumped into the room. "Do you have slippers?"
"Only slippers for men. You can wear them." Adam took out a pair of slippers from the shoe cabinet.
"Hmm!" Anthea stuck her two feet in.
It was a bit funny, because her feet were only two-thirds long of the slippers.
It was a house with two bedrooms and one living room and one dining room. It was not very big, but almost all the space was utilized, especially the living room with a French window. There was an open-air balcony outside. The indoor decoration reminded her of his temperament, black, white, and gray.
Anthea was looking around like a puppy wagging its tail. The whole house was echoed with the noise made by her slippers.
This was his first apartment distributed by the army, and Adam lived here alone. Every time the cleaner came, he was absent. He was used to living alone. But now, a slender figure suddenly appeared here, which made him feel a little strange.
Adam calmly looked away from her and said in a low voice, "You sleep in the guest room tonight."
"Thank you, uncle!" Anthea turned her head and smiled at him.
"You're welcome." Adam glanced at her ankle and said, "Your feet can't be wet, so don't take a bath tonight. You can simply wash up. There are new toothbrushes in the bathroom's drawer. I'll take you to the guest room first." "Ok!" Anthea jumped like a rabbit and followed him.
Twenty minutes later, she finished washing up and returned to the guest room. She sat at the end of the bed and touched the dark blue sheets with her hands.
Just like the bathroom, the decoration of this room was very simple and masculine. Everything was full of the masculine atmosphere that only men lived alone.
Anthea looked down at her ankle. After treatment in the hospital, the swelling had subsided a lot, and the pain was very much released. Presumably, she would recover tomorrow.
It was getting dark outside. She yawned and wanted to sleep.
This was not her dormitory, so naturally, there were no pajamas that she could change. Anthea stood up and wanted to borrow one from Adam for a night.
When her left foot landed on the ground, she didn't dare use much strength. As soon as she jumped two steps, she stepped on the corner of the carpet and suddenly slipped forward. Making a muffled sound, her face fell on the ground.
Fortunately, she fell on the carpet, which did not hurt very much.
That was so embarrassed!
Anthea in embarrassment wanted to stand up. She thought to herself. It was lucky that I was alone. Otherwise, I would lose face.
