"Because of my confession?"
Anthea looked straight at him without blinking, "I said I liked you, so you hid from me and deliberately transferred to Francis?"
Adam did not answer her. Instead, he was just puffing smoke.
It seemed that he didn't know how to answer, or he didn't want to answer.
Seeing this, Anthea did not continue to ask. She pinched her fingers and said, "Uncle Adam, don't send me back, okay?"
I want to be with you.
She said in a low voice, with two bent shadows hanging from her eyelashes. "I haven't been out for a long journey since I was born. It's the first time that I have been in Francis. I heard that the scenery here is beautiful, so I want to have a look. I want to try the hot pot here..."
After smoking a cigarette, Adam put it out in the ashtray and stand to his feet.
Anthea looked up in a hurry and reached out to grab his sleeve, "Uncle-in-law, are you still going to drive me away?"
She sat cross-legged on the sofa. One of them was up high and one is down low.
Adam looked down at her shining expressive eyes.
He was shocked when he heard that she had been in Francis.
Such a young and frail girl should have the courage to travel across so many cities to find him.
She probably knew how dangerous it might be, but she still came.
It shocked him so much.
There was a flash of light in Adam's eyes.
But soon he calmed down again, and all his thoughts were hidden in his eyes, so that no one could see through. He said, "You should rest first."
Anthea refused to let go and looked at him with trembling eyelashes.
Adam kept silent for two seconds and said to her, "I'll pick you up tomorrow. I'll show you around."
"Yeah!" Anthea showed two small dimples, which made her very cute.
Adam did not say anything else. He took the car keys and strode to the door. Before he left, he urged her to lock the door from inside.
Anthea slept quite tight.
She had been on the train for two days and two nights and had no rest at all. She finally found him and met him. She slept soundly and did not wake up until noon the next day.
There was a restaurant in the hotel, and Anthea ate a bowl of noodles.
She did not dare to leave, fearing that he would not be able to find her.
After she finished eating, she returned to her room and waited for him obediently. As time went by, Anthea gradually became a little anxious. She was afraid that he just made an excuse and had left her here alone.
When she hesitated whether she should call him, her mobile phone rang.
Anthea's eyes instantly lit up, and his deep voice passed through the speaker, "Come down, Anthea."
Hanging up the phone, she grabbed her thin coat and ran out like a happy bird.
Anthea walked out of the revolving door all the way from the elevator. When she stepped on the stairs in front of the hotel gate, Anthea paused.
The black Hummer was parked at the gate of the hotel. Adam didn't wear uniform today but dressed casually in a beige shirt and dark brown trousers. As usual, he was wearing that pair of military boots.
No matter when, he was always so charming and spirited.
At this time, he was standing in front of the car, but there was a woman standing next to him.
