Anthea didn't care about Leonardo at all. She just glared at him.
Her face was still red. She raised her hands to cover her face, and her heart was beating fast because of the phrase, "Army Wife".
Leonardo didn't want to waste his time anymore in being annoyed by the intimate relationship between Anthea and Adam. When the two of them got close to the boys' dormitory area, he left directly, swaying his yellow hair.
When Anthea walked back to the girls' dormitory area, she saw a familiar figure that she had recognized in the military training during the day.
The man seemed to be waiting for her. He was wearing the training clothes of camouflage. When he turned around, he appeared not to be as serious as he was during the military training as the instructor. He was now wearing a bright smile on his face. He was a little shy now, just like before when he and Anthea were both in the disaster-stricken area.
"Anthea!"
Anthea walked over to him with a smile. "Declan!"
The man in front of her was Declan Schain, the soldier she got acquainted in the disaster-stricken area. He was also the instructor whom Leonardo mentioned that he was familiar with during the day.
After greeting him, Anthea asked in surprise, "Declan, why did you come to the north?"
"It's a coincidence. There was a transfer of personnel in the army, and I was assigned here!" Declan roughly explained and looked at her in excitement. "Anthea, I haven't expected that we would meet each other so soon!"
Declan was also very excited at this time.
He was originally a southerner, and was therefore accustomed to living in the south. It was normal for soldiers or officers in the army, especially new recruits like him, to be transferred to other regions for work. However, when Declan learned that he was to be transferred to the north, he still felt a little resistant, because he didn't like to be so far away from home.
But he hadn't expected that God would treat him so nicely.
Soon after Declan was transferred to here, he was appointed as a military instructor in the medical college.
Generally speaking, tasks of this kind were to be done by new recruits who had joined the army for less than one or two years. As the saying goes, "Obedience is the first duty of a soldier". When Declan learned about the name of the medical college he was to go to, he was so delighted that he couldn't help smiling foolishly in front of his superior. Anthea had told him the name of the medical college where she was studying.
"That's right!" Anthea agreed with a smile.
Declan looked at her nervously. "I didn't say 'hello' to you during the day. You weren't angry about it, were you? I was the instructor, and there were so many students at that time. If I talked to you, I would break the discipline..."
Anthea shook her head with a smile. "I know. Don't think too much of it!"
"That's good!" Declan was relieved.
Anthea was now wearing camouflage, which made her look very different from her usual appearance.
The hat on her head had already been taken off, and her hair was a little messy, but it didn't affect her beauty at all. Under the street lamp, her little face was against the light, which made her charming and attractive.
Declan became absent-minded because of her beauty, and his face slightly blushed. "Anthea, I'm so happy to see you!"
"Me too." Anthea looked around to the dormitory building and said hurriedly, "Declan, it's getting late. I have to do morning exercises tomorrow. It's time for me to go back to wash up and sleep! If I'm late, I'm afraid you will punish me!"
Declan almost blurted out that how could he punish a girl as charming as Anthea.
Fortunately, he responded in time, so he was able to change his mind in the end and said something else, "Go ahead!"
Declan watched her beautiful figure walking into the dormitory building, and he said happily behind her, "See you tomorrow, Anthea!"
Anthea turned around and waved at him, and then disappeared from sight.
The smiling face of Anthea, her two shallow dimples... They seemed to still be lingering in Declan's mind. Anthea's beauty was particularly soulstirring under the bright moonlight. He felt that his heart had been stolen by her.
It took him quite a while to regain his composure.
Declan had made up his mind, and now he was harboring a dream in his heart.
The closer the physical distance, the larger the chance of winning her heart would be.
He had 20 days to be with Anthea. Declan thought
he must seize this golden opportunity!
The sun was shining brightly.
The weather in September in the north had indeed become much cooler, yet the sun could still be blistering. Sometimes it was uncomfortable to be exposed to the sun for a long time in outdoor activities.
It was now the third day of the military training program.
