The punishment was to run ten laps on the sports ground.
Adam was running with her. Although they didn't talk to each other, his scent lingered in her nose. Their eyes met occasionally, and she didn't feel tired at all. Before she knew it, the ten laps were finished.
After crossing the finishing line, Although Anthea panted heavily, it wasn't something that she couldn't stand.
Adam took out a bottle of water out of the blue. He unscrewed it and put the lid back on before handing it to her. "You've just finished running, so don't drink water right away. After you adjust your breath, drink in small sips, otherwise, it'll be a burden to your lungs."
"Okay!" Anthea took over the bottle.
"Are you tired?"
"No! What about you?"
"I'm not tired either." The corner of Adam's lips curled up slightly.
For him, running laps like this was a piece of cake. In the army, people had to carry burdens when they ran, which was a hundred times more difficult than this.
Anthea looked around, but she couldn't throw herself into his arms in broad daylight. She just blinked her eyes and looked at him tenderly. "You've been running with me the entire time, and I don't feel that this is a punishment at all. It's a reward! With you, I don't feel tired at all!"
"I know." Adam's eyes flickered.
Anthea was filled with happiness. "You're so great."
Carter, who was behind him, was speechless.
Having run nine laps with them, he was automatically ignored again!
Adam turned around and patted him on his shoulder, acknowledging his work as a cover story.
Anthea finally shifted her gaze away from Adam. She smiled and said hello, "Carter, you've also been transferred back!"
Carter, who was already used to being treated as a background, immediately put on a big smile. "That's right, sister-in-law!"
Although Carter had changed his way of addressing her when they were in the disaster area, every time Anthea heard this title, she still felt a little shy. Her face, which had turned red because of the intense exercise, blushed even more.
In the afternoon sunshine, she stood against the light. There was a blurry layer of light surrounding
her, making her look like a newly bloomed lotus.
Her blush added a touch of beauty to her, which made one's heart skip a beat.
All of a sudden, Adam felt possessive and didn't want anyone else to watch her. He cleared his throat and said, "Anthea, wait for me at the back of the faculty building. I'll meet you after I grab some lunch from the canteen."
"Yes!" Anthea nodded meekly.
Adam glanced at Carter. "Your job is done here. You can leave now."
Carter was speechless.
That was so ungrateful!
The lunch break lasted for nearly three hours. When it was almost two o'clock, Anthea returned to the dormitory.
She had just been punished to run laps at noon. With the increased exercise, her clothes were soaked with sweat. During military training, she only had one set of camouflage uniforms, which she could only wait to wash at night, but she could change her tank top into a clean one.
Anthea had changed her clothes when Lorelei climbed down from her bed and walked to Anthea with hesitation.
When the dean came to punish Anthea in public,
