Purchased A Mr. Right novel Chapter 1227

The car quickly drove away and soon it was out of sight.

Anthea frowned at this.

Adam returned with a plate of cakes and asked, "What are you looking at?"

"Nothing!" Anthea shook her head and pointed at a large dog outside the window, which was submissively sitting near the zebra marking. It was tied with a dog leash, the end of which was held by its owner. They were waiting for the green light. "I suddenly feel that the dog is so lovely! I also want to have a dog."

"Do you like dogs so much?" Adam looked at Anthea in surprise.

Anthea nodded and said, "You don't like dogs?"

Adam replied slowly, "I like what you like."

He felt that it was enough for them to have a baby cat at home.

But as long as his little girl liked and wanted a dog, he would unconditionally like the dog, too.

Anthea's little face looked slightly shy. She could not control herself but reach out to hold his big hand across the table. She then said sweetly, "Let's keep a dog after my graduation! I want to have a Labrador Retriever. I like it very much!

"I watched a foreign movie before. The hero and heroine had a Labrador Retriever. When they go back home every day after work, the dog would pick up their slippers and put them near the door! I think we are going to live together with our dog in the future!"

Now that she is still a student, Anthea had to live in the school after school began. In this case, she won't have enough time to take care of the dog.

Adam smiled and said, "It's okay."

Anthea showed him two lovely dimples.

When she lowered her head to eat the cake, she could not help looking at the opposite side of the street again.

Carter, who had witnessed the two of them displaying their love, twitched his lips as a silent protest.

"Humph...When I finally become the boyfriend of Nurse Yanni, we're going to show off our love every day too!"

...Carter thought.

After the legal holiday ended at the 7th day of the Lunar New Year, Anthea decided not to stay at home every day.

There were still more than ten days before the beginning of school. Anthea had already arranged everything, that she would go to the hospital as a medical intern of the Emergency Department with her teacher, Vincent Zanon. According to her current qualifications, she could not do many things in the hospital. She could only work somewhat like a volunteer.

Originally, Adam won't agree with such an arrangement, but he was also afraid that Anthea might feel bored at home. In addition, the intern work would not cost her a long time every day. For this reason, Adam finally allowed her to work in the hospital. He repeatedly warned her not to run too fast. Every day, she could hear advices like "how to recover from your injury with a cautious attitude" from him again and again.

One evening, when Anthea was about to get off work, she came down from the stairway and met a beautiful nurse.

The nurse greeted her shyly. "Hey... Do you still remember me!"

Anthea blinked her eyes and was amazed.

The nurse added, "That day I had a blind date with Carter, and I noticed that he always glanced at you from the corner of his eyes. Later I asked Carter why, and he told me that your boyfriend was his superior, and he treated you like his sister-in-law. Carter told me he had invited the two of you to supervise the date for him!"

"So you must be Nurse Yanni?" Anthea laughed. It was such a coincidence.

The nurse was embarrassed. "My name is Kaylee Yanni. You can call me Kaylee!"

Anthea had learned from Carter that Nurse Yanni was just about to graduate from college. She was a senior, while Anthea was a sophomore, and the two of them were about the same age. As they had become more familiar with each other, Anthea thought it would be inappropriate to call her "Nurse Yanni" all the time.

Anthea nodded happily. "Then you can call me Anthea, and I'll call you Kaylee. You looked happy when you mentioned Carter. It seems that the two of you are getting along well with each other!"

"Carter's a nice person!" Kaylee suddenly felt embarrassed.

Just then, the phone rang. It seemed as somebody from Kaylee's department was calling her. After saying goodbye to Anthea, Kaylee hurried away.

Anthea walked out of the emergency hall.

As she walked down the concrete steps, she saw that the military-green jeep had been waiting there.

Adam was dressed in a handsome military uniform, and he was wearing military boots. There was a cigarette between his slender fingers. He was leaned against the car. Though the weather was getting warmer day by day, it was still relatively cold now. The white smoke of cigarette and mist swirled around Adam's eyes and brows, making him look extremely enticing.

Anthea suddenly thought of Adam's comments on giving up cigarette smoking before.

At this, her face blushed. She lowered her head and walked over quickly.
