Purchased A Mr. Right novel Chapter 1238

The military green jeep braked all of a sudden.

The tires left traces on the ground and stopped at the door of a high-end restaurant near the river.

Carter, who was sitting in the passenger seat, clutched his seat belt tightly. He had almost hit the windshield just now and was rubbing his nose gloomily.

Adam had already jumped out of the car.

Carter hurriedly followed him. "Captain Chin, what are we doing here?"

"Eat with me," Adam said in a low voice.

Carter looked at the restaurant with a surprised expression. "Are you calling me here just to eat?"

"Yes." Adam said calmly.

Hearing this, Carter frowned bitterly. "Oh, I thought you had something important to tell me and I even cancelled the date!"

Adam glanced at him silently.

"Soon, we'll be back in the army and I won't be able to see my girlfriend again for a long time. You and Anthea are deeply in love, but I have just gone out with Nurse Yanni for several times. What if she dumps me?" Carter complained. Then he asked curiously, "It's Saturday today. Why don't you ask Anthea out?"

"Stop talking." Adam frowned.

Carter saw that Adam looked a little bad, and said jokingly, "You didn't break up with her, did you?"

Adam's expression froze all of a sudden.

He became gloomy at once, and his chin tightened. There seemed to be a layer of frost in his eyes, which made Carter chill.

Carter widened his eyes in fear.

Was he right?

Carter silently raised his hand to cover his mouth.

He actually guessed it right!

Anthea had returned to school.

The taxi stopped at the school gate. She got out and walked into the campus on her own. Along the way, she wore a long face, like a soldier who had been defeated in the battlefield.

Adam did not give her a ride just now, just seeing her go away in a taxi.

She didn't pay attention to him, and he ignored her either!

Anthea had a stomachache with anger.

Adam was an ass!

She walked slowly to the downstairs of the dormitory and saw Leonardo running towards her. He was still wearing slippers. It was obvious that he had just gotten out of the dormitory.

'Anthea, why didn't you reply my message? I called you but didn't answer. I was just about to check if you are in the dormitory!" Leonardo started yelling.

Anthea fumbled in her pocket for her phone impatiently and said, "Can you keep your voice down? My phone is muted."

Leonardo directly handed his phone to her and said, "Read this news!"

"What news?" Anthea frowned and seemed not interested.

It was a local piece of news.

There were texts and videos. When she saw the person in the video clearly, she immediately widened her eyes.

Leonardo said with a lazy smile, "I didn't expect Adam to be a real man. Now in March, the river is still very cold, and on such a high bridge, he just jumped down to save people. He is a hero! How awesome!"

A woman wanted to commit suicide, but a soldier jumped into the river to save her despite the danger! This was the tile of this news.

"He's a soldier. Of course, he's a hero!" Anthea said proudly, feeling honored. But as soon as she finished speaking, her face suddenly changed.

"You realized it?" Leonardo sneered. "He stood you up yesterday, because he went to save someone. Look, it's said that he was hit in the head in the river and fell into a coma after he swam ashore. He was sent directly to the hospital with the drowning person, so you couldn't get in touch with him all night!
