The waiter was flattered. "Well."
"How old are you? Are you a college student too?" Anthea seemed very interested in him. "Are you working part-time here? You are very handsome, and tall, good-shaped. You're more suitable to be a model! We can hang out sometimes!"
The waiter was still young.
Now a pretty girl struck up a conversation with him. He blushed and felt that this girl liked him, so he cleared his throat and said, "Okay, of course."
"Alex, what are you doing? There is a guest ordering food now!"
The manager ran over at this critical moment and interrupted them seriously.
The waiter dared to flirt with the landlady in front of the boss. He was seeking death!
The waiter nodded quickly and left with a guilty look.
Anthea glanced sideways.
Adam sat there steadily. Only his side face, which was handsome and smooth, could be seen. He was tilting his head toward outside of the window, as if he was enjoying the night view and turning a deaf ear to the conversation between her and the waiter.
Anthea held her breath.
All right then!
At this time, the desserts were served.
Amelie tasted it and said to Adam with a smile, "You should have a try. This dessert is really good. It's soft and special!"
Amelie split the desert into pieces with the knife and put them in his plate.
Adam's eyes swept over them lightly. He neither responded nor rejected as he had just done.
Amelie seemed to have been encouraged. Her features were all bright. She poured tea into his cup and smiled confidently. She talked with him with a gentle voice, and the atmosphere was particularly good.
People probably thought that they were lovers.
Anthea took a bite of the chicken leg viciously. She knew Amelie did it on purpose!
Glancing at the poker-faced Adam, she clenched her fists.
Looks like she needed to use her trump card now!
She took out her mobile phone and pretentiously checked the phone book. After a while, she called someone. "Hello, Young Master Chiang, are you
busy? Oh, it's nothing. If you are free now, I want to have dinner with you. I'm now in the restaurant near the river."
Suddenly, the phone was snatched away by someone.
Anthea was shocked.
A shadow covered her head. She opened her eyes innocently. "Ah! What are you doing?"
Adam hung up the phone and switched it off.
He looked terrible. "Don't you have something to tell me?"
"Oh, you have time now?" Anthea's eyelashes fluttered. She shrugged and said, "But I'm afraid I don't have time for now. I just called Young Master Chiang. I think he'll be here in no time."
Before she could finish, Adam pulled her up from the seat.
The big hand grabbed hers and they left without saying anything.
Looking at his tight lips, Anthea snickered.
Amelie, who was still sitting in her seat, looked pale.
