Purchased A Mr. Right novel Chapter 1269

The phone in Amelie's pocket rang.

Amelie frowned and muted it. She looked up and smiled, "Uncle Bellamy, I fine!"

Bellamy was very gratified. After pondering for a moment, he said, "Speaking of which, Amelie, you and Adam are not young anymore. I'll talk to him later. One can't always focus on his career!"

Amelie was very excited, but she didn't show it. She just said softly, "It's okay. I've been waiting for six years. I can wait!"

Bellamy looked at her with satisfaction.

Amelie, as an excellent soldier, was sensible and deeply in love with his first son. A father can't be picky about such a daughter-in-law!

Meadow had been eating in silence while they were talking.

She had no objection.

She also liked Amelie and agreed with her husband that Amelie was indeed a suitable wife for Adam and could handle affairs domestic and public. If she married Adam, she would make a perfect wife.

But as a mother, Meadow knew her son.

For so many year, Adam had never had any affection for Amelie.

But the girl her son loved...

Why she!

Amelie accompanied Adam's parents for dinner. The atmosphere was very good.

After dinner, Amelie went to the bathroom.

After closing the door, she called back and scolded, "I've said that it's not convenient for me to answer the phone in the Chin Family. Why are you still calling me!"

"Amelie, there's something important!" A weak female voice came from the speaker.

"What the hell is going on!" Amelie said impatiently.

"Amelie, as you said, I bought a fruit basket on behalf of you and went to the hospital to visit Carter Laux this morning. When I came out, I saw Captain Chin in the corridor!"

"What's so surprising about that?"

The female soldier said with hesitation, "The point is, I saw Captain Chin holding a woman in his arms.

The doctor seemed to be a doctor in the hospital. He was holding her so tightly and for a long time. His expression was very unusually different, particularly gentle. I felt a little dangerous, so I hurried to tell you!"

Amelie's expression changed slightly. "I understood!"

Hanging up the phone, she looked completely gloomy.

Amelie carefully recalled the thing that the female soldier had just told her. She and Adam had known each other since childhood and she knew his character.

Whether in the army, in private, or at home, he had always been distant and indifferent. Most of the time, he would keep a poker face. In the past six years, he got icier than before, almost impossible for any living beings to get close.

It was impossible for Adam to have such intimate acts with a woman, let alone to have such an expression.

Except for one person!

Amelie thought of one time.

She came to visit the the Chin family with her father. At that time, she went upstairs to call him for dinner. And Adam was on the phone. She could see his face reflected on the window, full of gentleness and tenderness.

Amelie clenched her phone.

The evening lights were lit. It was near the river bank.

Anthea got out of the taxi and pursed her lips when she saw the restaurant in front of her, "Why did you choose here?"

A quirk of fate.

This was Adam Chin's restaurant!

"Well, what's wrong with this one?" Victor, who followed her to off the taxi, explained, "I heard that this one has good reputation. It has been here for a long time. Many people came here because of its reputation!"

Anthea shook her head and didn't want to disappoint him, "It's okay. I'm just thinking my purse is going to shrink tonight!"

How could they happen to meet him here for dinner!

Victor laughed and the two of them walked into the restaurant.

The restaurant was the same as it had been six years ago. It hadn't changed except the increased number of waiters. And one could tell that business had always been quite booming.

Victor had booked a seat in advance, and the waiter came forward as soon as they entered.

There was no empty table in the hall except for one by the window.

It had the best view and was empty all year round and had been exclusive for Adam.

Anthea subconsciously looked over.

After making sure that Adam was not there, she breathed a sigh of relief, but then she was a little lost in memories.

Anthea thought of their first date. There were no guests in the restaurant all night, only a table was available. And it was for she and Adam. Later, she learned that Adam was the boss who she had been scolding.
