The city was colored by neon lights.
A taxi parked by the busy business street. Anthea took the change from the driver and rushed to one of the underground bars.
As she walked in, she could hear the deafening music.
The bar's business was good and this place was full of men and women on the dancing floor.
Anthea almost couldn't remember when she went to the bar last time. It seemed to be in high school. In order to comfort their broken-up roommates, they, several naive girls, put on makeup that didn't match their age and pretended to be adults to indulge themselves.
That was the first time she had met Adam.
It had been too long that her memories faded a little.
Anthea scanned the room and soon captured sight of Golden Leonardo in front of the bar counter.
She rolled her eyes.
Anthea was on the night shift this night. She was discussing ordering a take-out with Mila in the duty room when Leonardo gave her a call.
She could feel that he was drunk from his voice in the speaker, a sign of requesting her to bring him home.
When Anthea heard this, she immediately asked other doctors to fill her in and then came in a hurry.
Leonardo was lying prone on the bar counter like a giant dog, with his hand on his dyed-brown hair. At this time, his hair was in a mess, and his tie was loosened.
Anthea walked over and said, "Hey, Leonardo! Wake up!"
Leonardo slowly raised his head but couldn't speak articulately, "Anthea, you're here-"
Anthea frowned and waved to blow off the smell of alcohol in front of her, "Why did you come here in the middle of the night to drink alone and drank so much!"
There were two empty bottles and a row of empty glasses on the counter.
"So much? I want to drink till dawn, never return before I get drunk!" Leonardo's eyes were full of sign of getting drunk. As he spoke, he raised his head and drank up the liquid in the cup in one gulp. There were still a few drops left at the corner of his mouth.
Anthea scowled at him, "If you drink in this way, you don't have to wait until dawn. You will have stomach hemorrhage and go straight to the hospital!"
Upon hearing her criticism, Leonardo slapped the table angrily, "Damn! Anthea, are we good friends or not? I'm hurt. I'm hurt by love. You'd better comfort me! In the past, when you quarrelled with Adam, I was always with you!"
"Okay, okay. I'll comfort you!" Anthea held her forehead.
Leonardo put down his wine glass heavily, "Bartender! A bottle of Chivas Regal. You drink with me!"
Anthea ignored this and whispered to the bartender, "Please give me get a glass of orange juice. Thank you!"
Leonardo kept saying that he would not get drunk after a thousand cups of Wine. He kept asking for wine. Anthea could not stop him.
He was already drunk. His eyes were full of languidness, and there was an unconcealable pain inside.
Anthea felt his sadness.
The young master who used to be cynical was now trapped by love.
No one could escape the trap of love.
At this time, there was not much that friends could do. She could only accompany him and comfort him. Anthea sat on the bar stool and accompanied him all the time.
At one point, she went to the bathroom. When she pushed the door open and came out, she did not expect to see a familiar figure in front of the sink.
That woman was also obviously shocked when she saw Anthea from the mirror.
Anthea walked over with poise. It was impossible to pretend that she didn't see the woman, especially when the woman had greeted her in advance, "Miss Lee, long time no see!"
