Purchased A Mr. Right novel Chapter 1976

...

The man was tall and straight, with an outstanding temperament. He stood out among the crowd.

It was easy to identify him.

Surprise crossed Mia's eyes, and she raised her hand and called out, "Brother, here!"

She did not step forward like the others. Instead, she stood there with hesitation and waited for him to come up to her.

The man was wearing an exquisitely crafted black suit, looking much more mature and steady than his peers.

He raised to see the watch and said in a mellow voice, "Have you been waiting for a long time? The plane was late for half an hour."

Mia observed his expression for some time and asked hesitantly, "Are you no longer angry at me?"

"No." Dan Bond looked a little sad.

He reached out and knocked lightly on her forehead. Then in a gloomy and resentful tone, he said, "You insisted on getting married. How could I not be angry?"

Mia lowered her head like a guilty child who had done something wrong.

She grew up with Dan.

Dan was her neighbor, six years older than her.

Though he was born in an influential family, he used to live in the countryside. Because of his poor lung in childhood, his family sent him to recuperate in their relative's house in the countryside.

Mia and Mr. Chadwick lived alone together. However, Mr. Chadwick was busy with his career in the village. He couldn't take care of his granddaughter most of the time, so he often asked Dan to take care of her.

It was Dan who took Mia to and from school.

Thus, they had developed a deep relationship.

She had always regarded him as her elder brother, though unrelated to her by blood.

The Bond family settled down in Country M long ago. Dan was very capable. Last year, he had transferred the focus of his career overseas and seldom stayed at home.

When Mia told him her decision of getting married, Dan objected.

He disapproved of it because she would marry a man she just met. He was even unwilling to come back to attend her wedding when she called to invite him.

After that, he no longer contacted her.

Mia thought that he would be angry for a long time.

Therefore, when Dan sent her the message that he would come back home and asked her to pick him up, she was very surprised.

Dan sighed softly, seeing her lowering her eyes and not daring to look at him. He had no way to put on a straight face to her, so he rubbed her head and said in a gentle tone, "Forget it. Let's go eat something first."

Mia smiled.

After leaving the airport, they went to a steakhouse.

After cutting the steak on the plate, Dan did not eat it. Instead, he handed the plate to Mia and took her uncut steak.

He did it naturally.

In the past, when Simon and her instructor went abroad to enter the violin contest, Dan would sometimes accompany them. Every time they ate steaks, he would cut the steak into pieces for her.

Mia felt warm. "Thank you for your consideration."

In addition to Mr. Chadwick, Dan could be regarded as her only family in the world.

Dan also smiled, his eyes full of indulgence and love for her. "You're still as childish as before!"

She said, "It's not long. We haven't seen each other for only one year!"

Dan looked a little excited, and he murmured with emotion, "You're right. Just one year."

But now, she was already married.

Dan seemed to be a little upset. However, when he looked up, he regained his calm composure.

Mia's cell phone rang.

Desmond worked overtime in the company. The maid said that she didn't go home after school, so he called to ask.

Dan was back, and Mia was so happy that she forgot to mention this to Desmond, so she said, "I'm outside. I won't go back for dinner tonight."

Desmond asked, "Who is it?"

Mia looked at the person opposite her and said with a smile, "My family is here."

Desmond was surprised.
