Emily felt regretful for asking. At this moment, with a sound of tink, the lift opened. She bent to hold Isla in her arms, quickly changed the topic by saying, "Here we are. Let's jump into the queue in Simon's name!"
The reexamination went smoothly and quickly. In half an hour, they had finished and took the lift to leave.
Seeing that Emily was peeking at the cardiology department through the lift, Tina could not help but ask, "Emily, Simon should be back soon, right?"
"Yeah..." Emily nodded. She silently calculated in her heart, and shyly said, "He will be back next Tuesday. There are only two days left!"
"That's great! Simon is finally coming back. You don't have to be alone at night anymore!" Tina teased her.
After hearing this, Emily blushed and stomped her feet, "Tina, that's not good to say such things in front of Isla!"
When Isla, who was holding the doll, heard this, she immediately covered her ears with her little hands and blinked her big eyes, "I didn't hear anything!"
"You little brat!" Feeling embarrassed, Emily found it both funny and annoying.
After crossing the long glass bridge, they went out directly from the clinic building. As soon as they walked down the steps, they saw a white Prado suddenly stopped. Wilson, who was with glasses, got off from the driver's seat.
Usually, as a boss, Wilson would have a driver drive him around in a commercial vehicle. It was the first time that he was seen to drive by himself.
Looking at the tire prints on the ground, Emily thought to herself.
"The way Wilson drives is exactly like Simon's way!"
"Papa!"
Isla, who had been holding their hands, left the doll behind and immediately ran over to Wilson excitedly.
Wilson bent and held Isla in his arms with a trace of softness shown in his indifferent eyes behind the glasses. Then he looked at Tina with a slight frown and said in an unhappy tone, "Why didn't you call me?"
Tina looked at the father and daughter and said softly, "I thought you should be very busy. Besides, I just took her to do a recheck.
I can do it myself. I don't need to bother you!"
"What do you mean bother?" Wilson looked angry and said in a low voice, "Tina, I'm Islas father!"
Feeling tongue-tied, Tina could not refute but turn her pale face away.
Wilson opened the back door of the car. There was a safe child seat inside. Holding Isla in his arms, he reached out to pull Tina's wrist. "Get in the car. I promise to take Isla to the amusement park this week!"
"No need!" Tina refused right away and said with a determined voice, "Emily will accompany us. She can take care of Isla for me!"
Sitting in a safe seat, Isla looked at Tina from inside with her eyes widened and asked eagerly, "Mama, can you let Papa come with us?"
Hearing Islas childish voice, Tina felt speechless.
Wilson looked at the mother and daughter, frowning. He looked at Emily, who was standing there, and asked, "Emily?"
Emily felt embarrassed by Wilson's glance and cleared her throat, "Cough! Well, I suddenly remember that I have other things to do! Wilson, I will have to bother you to take good care of Tina and Isla!"
