Ten minutes later, Emily came out of the emergency room.
The doctor prescribed her some antiinflammatory drugs for internal use and some ointment for external use. She was told to take all the medicine at the dispensary behind the escalator. As soon as she got off the emergency bed, Simon went forward to support her while Selena took the initiative to say, "I'll go get the medicine!"
Then, she walked away, looking back repeatedly at every step.
In the corridor, only Emily and Simon were left. Emily could not walk by herself, so he helped her to move forward step by step. She walked very slowly and appeared a little fun with her left ankle bone bandaged with gauze.
She sat back in the chair, waiting for Selena. Simon said, his eyes fixed on her left foot, "The injury is not serious. When you're back, do follow the doctor's advice."
"Yes! Thank you..." Emily nodded.
Simon stood there, looking at Emily, who sat in silence. His shadow happened to wrap her up. She looked up and said with hesitation, "Selena told me that you were at the community's gate. Weren't you dating Addy?"
Simon narrowed his peach blossom eyes. "Emily, do you mind if I was?"
Emily frowned.
Simon's eyes suddenly lit up. He leaned over and approached her, his breath burning-hot. Then he continued, a little compellingly. "Tell me, do you care if I was dating her?"
"It has nothing to do with me!" Emily's heart sank, but she was too proud and stubborn to admit her love toward him. "Whoever you're dating, whether it was Addy or any other woman, is none of my business!"
As he heard this, Simon's expression instantly turned cold.
He looked up a little. There seemed to be a trace of disappointment flashing in her eyes, but it soon disappeared so that Emily did not notice it.
Simon stood up straight again and leaned lazily against the wall, one of his legs bending. He said with a cold snort, "I've never known that you're so determined to be with Boyd!"
Emily was stunned, and then she knew that he must have heard the two hooligans' words.
The corners of Emily's mouth twitched a little, but she did not explain anything in the end. She just stood there, pursing her lips. Seeing her like this, Simon thought she admitted it.
At this moment, Selena ran back with the bag of medicine and said, "I got all the medicine!" "Let's leave then!" Emily nodded.
"I'll send you back!" Simon slightly narrowed her peach blossom eyes.
Before Selena went to the pharmacy, Simon gave her the prescription and a bank card. Since she had paid the bill, she handed it back.
"Simon... Oh, no, you've been divorced!" Selena had not accepted the truth. She cleared her throat and said, feeling a little embarrassed, "Ahem, sorry, but I'm used to calling you Simon. Why should I call you then, Dr. Chin or Mr. Chin?"
Simon murmured, "You don't have to change it. You can still regard me as your brother-in-law!"
"..." Emily clenched her fingers.
When they came out of the emergency building and walked down the last step, a brown car suddenly stopped at the door. The car's window opened, and a male voice came,
"Emily!"
