Purchased A Mr. Right novel Chapter 758

A confused look appeared on Simon's face. "What day is it today?

"Your birthday!" Addy said directly.

"Really?" Simon was stunned and looked at the calendar next to him.

It was indeed his birthday. However, he had to arrange another operation for his grandma, who had to live in the hospital again. Besides, there were always so many operations to be performed. In the past few days, he was so busy that he forgot his birthday. In fact, for Simon, life had become tasteless since the divorce.

"Sure enough, I knew you forgot it!" Seeing that he looked a little sad, Addy immediately understood what was in his mind. After a brief pause, she hesitantly asked, "Simon, I think you've been in a bad mood recently. Do you want me to call classmates to celebrate it for you? Let's have fun, shall we?"

However, Simon's gaze moved away from the calendar and shook his head. "No!"

Hearing this, Addy did not say much and nodded. "Well, I'll go back first!"

"Mn." Simon gave her a faint smile as a response.

After Addy left, he was alone in the office, sitting on a chair with his tiptoes slightly pushing against the ground. He looked at the distant clouds in the sky through the windows, and his charming eyes gradually narrowed.

"Tock! Tock!"

Someone knocked on the table twice.

Emily turned her head in a daze and saw Tina shaking the thermos cup in her hand. "Emily, you've been blankly staring at the same place for almost 20 minutes! What are you thinking about?"

"Nothing!" She shook her head, turned her eyes back to the calendar on the computer, and murmured, "Today is the 16th day of..."

"Yes, and today is Tuesday. Is there anything special?" Tina looked puzzled.

Emily muttered, "No, it's just..."

"Just what?" Tina was still confused.

"..." Emily pursed her lips.

It was just his birthday!

Four years ago, his birthday was not long after they got their marriage certificates. Back then, she failed to celebrate it with him because she had to do an interview...

Noticing that she did not answer, Tina shrugged her shoulders and asked, "Emily, do you have time this Sunday?"

"Well, what's the matter?" Emily raised her head and asked

"You still remember what I said last time, don't you?" Tina paused for a moment and then went on, "If you're free on Sunday night, let's have a meal together with the man I met on a blind date! Please tell me if he is my Mr. Right!"

Emily nodded and said, "Okay!"

Tina smiled and urged her, "Don't sit there staring blankly! Hurry up and modify the draft. We'll be off work in another hour! If you don't finish it today, the chief editor will get angry again!"

They stopped chatting and focused their attention on their work.

After work, Emily returned home. She was the only one in the house. Her best friend, Wendy, was somewhere else and had not returned yet. She looked at the calendar on the chest of drawers by the window, lost in thought.

She was wondering if she should send me a message to wish Simon a happy birthday.

That day in the cafe, Boyd told her that Simon had done a lot of things to help her. Though it was a piece of cake for him to do such things for his ex-wife, she should thank him after all.

And even if they had divorced, it was not inappropriate for her to give her ex-husband a birthday blessing, was it?
