Emily was a little embarrassed. "Then..."
In the white smoke, Simon narrowed his beautiful slightly. "Addy is here, to attend an entertainment program!"
"Oh!" Emily said, pursing her lips.
She found herself ridiculous for dreaming that he came for her just now. She was not very clear about the news of entertainment programs, but she recently heard about an interview about stage play...
Simon's pupils dilated slightly and he took away the cigarette on his mouth. "If you want, I can give you a ride!"
"You needn't bother!" She replied without hesitation.
She would rather leave with that man just now than stay alone with him. She smiled to cover her bitterness and said, "Bye-bye, I have to go!"
After that, she turned around and quickly passed a crosswalk.
A slender figure slowly came out of the office building. Addy was probably well enough after she was discharged from the hospital. At least from her face, no one could imagine that she had just experienced a car accident more than half a month ago. After seeing him, she was smiling and walking over quickly. "Simon!"
Simon didn't look at her. Instead, he gazed at the other side of the busy street.
Feeling puzzled, Addy followed his gaze to look over. Except for the pedestrians coming in and out of the subway station, there was nothing special.
Until she shouted again Simon hadn't come back to earth. The long cone of ash teetered at the end of his cigarette.
"Mm." He relied and stubbed out the cigarette.
The black Cayenne drove away from the office building. The setting sun warmed the car.
Addy tilted her head and smiled at him. "Simon, I'm sorry. My car is still being repairing. It was most kind of you to meet me!"
"Don't stand on ceremony. I'm no stranger!" Simon said lazily.
"Thank you for everything. If you hadn't persuaded me to give up the idea of leaving the ballet troupe, I wouldn't continue my career!" Addy paused and asked tentatively, "Simon, you promised to come here today because Miss Sam works in this TV station, right? Have you met her?"
Simon tightened his grip on the steering wheel and said, "Yes!"
"Simon, I'm dating someone!"
Addy suddenly said as the lights changed to red. Simon stepped on the brake and turned his head. He saw that she was lowering her head, and there was a huge diamond glittered on her ring finger of her right hand.
A flicker of astonishment gleamed in his beautiful eyes. "Addy, are you going to get married?"
Hearing that, Addy looked up at him with a smile and explained, "One of my admirers in the troupe. His name is Sean, Chinese. He's also born in Ice city. He has been courting me since I entered the troupe, but I loved you at that time... That's why I never agreed! He knew that I got a car accident. He proposed to me a few days ago, and I said yes!"
Simon pursed his thin lips and said in a low voice, "Addy, you don't have to do this for me!"
"No!" Addy shook her head gently. "It's not for you, it's for myself!"
She plaintively looked at him and sighed softly. "It's very difficult to get out of the ordeal! Although I've learned to switch off, I can't lie to you that I'm totally over you. I no longer expect to be with you again. I wish both of us happiness!"
"The best way for one to cast off the feeling of gloom is to jump into a new relationship, isn't it? I believe that I can make it. Sean is a good man who is good to me for so many years. I'm touched. So, I want to give it a try!"
