Purchased A Mr. Right novel Chapter 775

"He went back to Ice city?"

Upon hearing this, her aunt ran out hurriedly and asked, "Why did he go back all of a sudden? Didn't we agree to stay home tonight and drive back with Selena tomorrow morning?"

Emily swallowed hard and mumbled, "Maybe he has some urgent business to attend to!"

Her aunt and uncle looked at each other in dismay. The former wiped her hands on the apron and gently pulled Emily aside. She asked in a low voice, "Emily, did you quarrel with Simon?"

"No..." Emily shook her head.

From the beginning to the end, she didn't see a trace of anger on Simon's face, but he didn't look lazy as usual.

As she felt a drumming in her temples, she raised her hands and pressed there, "Aunt, I'll go back to my room to change my clothes. Call me at dinner!"

She closed the door and leaned on it tiredly.

Looking at the sunset outside the window, she guessed that the black Cayenne must be on the highway at this time. She put her hand on her lower abdomen and finally forced a smile.

A week passed in the blink of an eye.

Emily picked her belongings on the desk into the box one by one and stroked the edge of the desk. She couldn't help feeling slightly wistful about the place where she had been working for more than four years. It was a pity that she had given the job up now.

After she gave over charge of her office to her successor, she could leave here half a month earlier than routine because of the chief editor's favor. Besides, many colleagues came to say goodbye to her.

Tina was the one who most hated to part with her. When they stood at the elevator, Tina held her hand tightly and asked, "Emily, can't you stay?"

"Tina, you know, I have no other choice right now!" Emily nodded firmly.

Tina's eyes alighted to her lower abdomen. Naturally, Tina could understand her difficulty at this time. She paused and asked, "Have you told this to Dr. Chin?"

Emily replied in a low voice, "Well..."

She remembered that day, when he had left the town, his eyes were as hard as flint.

Tina saw her eyelashes cast a shadow that covered her eyes. As an observer, all she could do was sigh deeply.

Walking out of the office building, Emily hailed a taxi at the roadside. On the way, she looked at receding scene in the streets. When they arrived at her apartment, the security guard Mr. Weil greeted her with enthusiasm as usual.

After getting the change and getting off the car, she looked up at the building in front of her.

After thinking for a few seconds, she took out her mobile phone and whispered as she took the box and went inside.

"Hello?"

After she got through, a familiar deep male voice sounded.

Emily clenched her phone tightly and said, "Simon, it's me!"

"I know!" Simon replied.

"Well..." Emily paused and said, "I called you because we have to talk about the apartment! If I go to Australia, I don't know when I will come back, so I won't live here again. I want to return it to you. Since you could transfer it to my name at that time, you can get it back now!"

After an embarrassed silence, she could not help asking, "Simon, are you listening to me?"

"Yes." Simon answered solemnly.

Emily looked at the ascending elevator and continued, "There should be a lot of my belongings in the apartment. I can't take so many things. If you think that they're useless, just throw them away!"
