The boy followed Emily out of the office building's entrance and repeatedly said, " Emily, I'll leave the matter to you then!"
Emily smiled and gave him a reassuring look. She nodded and replied, "Okay, don't worry. It's not a big deal. I'll definitely do it for you!"
"Okay, that's good, now I can go back to work!" Hearing this, the boy suddenly breathed a sigh of relief.
"Go ahead, or the editor-in-chief will get mad again!" Emily nodded with a smile.
After waving goodbye, the boy turned and ran back to the office building happily.
Emily watched the light- footed figure disappear. When she turned her head, she saw a tall and straight figure coming up to her. She was not surprised and said with her teeth bared, "Simon, you're here!"
Seeing that his eyes passed over her, and looked at the office building with some sneaky looks.
Emily was a little confused. Just as she was about to open her mouth and ask, he snorted in an unfriendly tone. "Mrs. Chin, why did you always like stupid young people?"
She was stunned, but after she was wakened, she immediately rolled her eyes at him. "What are you talking about?"
"That's an intern who just came to our department last week. He hasn't graduated yet. In my eyes, he's just a child!"
However, Simon didn't seem to believe it. He said in a strange tone, "It's obvious that he's having a crush on you from the fawning look on his face."
"It's impossible!" Emily was speechless. "He only regard me as his sister. Just now, he asked me for help. These interns are bullied badly by the editor-in-chief. He has to work overtime at night. So he wants me to help him get two tickets fora ballet show used for pursuing the girl he likes!"
"Who is the girl he likes?" Simon frowned.
"How would I know!" Emily cried in a low voice.
Hearing this, the gloom in Simon's peach blossom eyes disappeared instantly. He changed his attitude faster than hers, as if nothing had happened just now. He lazily took her to the Cayenne. "Mrs. Chin, what do you want to eat tonight?"
"Up to you!" Emily replied gruffly.
Simon always said she was easy to be jealous, but she thought that he was the jealous one!
They didn't go home for dinner. Although Emily said it was up to Simon, she said hot pot casually on the way. Recently her appetite was good, and something she wanted to eat would appear in her mind from time to time.
Since she was pregnant, Simon insisted on having her eat nutritious food, so the soup base of hot pot was also a healthy one.
The hot pot restaurant was located in a shopping mall next to the river, and there happened to have a movie theater. After eating, Simon selected two movie tickets on the Internet, a comedy animation, and solemnly emphasized that it could be an antenatal training.
Emily did not comment on the second activity.
It was not too late to come back at the end of the movie which lasted for more than a hundred minutes. Lights were still burning in the windows of every house.
The bathroom door was opened. When Simon came out of the bathroom after shower with a towel around his body, Emily was lying on the bed in bedroom, with a laptop in her hands and her eyes focused on the screen.
She was not playing games, but fighting for the tickets of some stage show on a website.
She was so fascinated by the animation that she almost forgot an important thing, which was that she promised the department's intern to help him with the tickets when she got off work. When she just came out of the movie theater, she received the information of the intern who was still working overtime and asked whether she got it. As soon as she entered the door, she hurriedly turned on the laptop and surfed on the Internet.
Feeling that someone was staring at her from above her head, Emily could not help but raise her head.
Simon, a tall and straight figure, was standing beside the big bed and looking down at her. Under the lamplight, the color of the peach blossom eyes was a little dark. In addition to laziness, there was also some evilness.
