At this time, Tina's cell phone rang. Something urgent came up.
Simon's Adam's apple bobbed. "Tina, go back if you're busy. I'm going nowhere!"
Tina grabbed her phone and glanced at Emily, who was lying on the hospital bed inside. "Well, I'll come back to see her when I'm done with my work!"
"Mn." Simon nodded.
Just as Tina left, he heard footsteps approaching.
Simon looked over. He saw Director Ye in a doctor's gown hurrying over with the test sheets.
"Director Ye!"
He immediately greeted Simon as soon as he saw him. "Simon, you are here!"
Simon asked anxiously, "My wife, she..."
"Don't worry, the baby is fine!" Director Ye interrupted him with a grave look. He handed the test sheet to Simon and continued, "Here are the results. Your wife has an increased risk of miscarriage!"
"What?" Simon clenched his fists.
Director Ye nodded, "Yes, it's caused by her mood swings! When Mrs. Chin came here yesterday, she bled slightly. It's normal during pregnancy, no big deal. I prescribed some medicine for her, and she will be fine when she rest a few days. I didn't expect she would be taken here today..."
Hearing so, Simon's face stiffened.
"I want to keep her in hospital overnight on a drip after she wakes up. Although she's fine now, we still need to pay more attention and take precautions in case of an accident!" Director Ye looked at the hospital bed across the glass.
He paused, and when he spoke again, he seemed to have become more serious. He said, "Smion, the most important thing for a pregnant woman is her mood. When Mrs. Chin came to take a check-up, she was in good spirits. But recently, she's very up and down. This should be related to her increasing stress. It will do her harm."
"You are a man, so just take good care of her. Don't make her worry about you! The most important thing for a pregnant woman is to be relaxed. Don't put any undue pressure on her or let her being hung up with confused, foolish reflections. She should keep relaxed and joyful for the sake of her health!"
Simon's Adam's apple moved slightly. "I know."
Seeing that he looked depressed, Director Ye stepped forward and patted him on the shoulder, saying, "Let me know if you need me. I'll go back to work!"
"Thank you, Director Ye!" Simon replied.
Simon watched after his receding figure and closed his eyes for two seconds. Then he slowly pushed open the door of the ward.
Inside, Emily was lying on the bed with her eyes closed. Her face was pale because she had fainted.
On the back of her right hand, there was a syringe through which drips were silently flowing into her blood vessels.
Director Ye's sincere words were constantly echoing in Simon's ears. He leaned over in front of the hospital bed with mixed emotions and touched her forehead with his rough fingertips, which was bunched in a frown when she went into a trance.

Emily woke up two hours later. All she could see was whiteness. When she smelt the disinfect solution, she realized that she was in the hospital.
The back of her hand was inserted with a syringe, and there was an infusion support with a medicine bottle on it.
She tried hard to remember that after lunch Tina still had much free time, so they went shopping for a while. She was listless and in low spirits. She went to the bathroom halfway. When she was done and about to open the door, she had a blackout all of a sudden...
Seeing her wake up, Simon, who had been waiting at the side of the bed, held her hand tightly. His voice was husky with grief, but it was still very deep and charming. "Emily, are you feeling all right?"
