Although Mr. Weil seemed to be asking her, he didn't wait for her to answer and took Simon to the Cayenne.
Then he opened the rear door and put Simon on the seat.
In the blink of an eye, Mr. Weil had returned. Holding Wylma's hand, he said that there were follow-up things to deal with at the wedding. Wylma also said, "Miss Sam, please take care of Dr. Chin!"
As Emily was still in a daze, feeling confused, Wylma and Mr. Weil already left.
Calvin asked with a gentle voice, "Emily, what should we do next?"
Emily turned her eyes and looked at the Cayenne.
Under the streetlights, Emily saw Simon was leaning against the car window with his head tilted on the back of the chair, showing half of his face. It seemed Simon was very drunk.
Since Simon was left with her, she could not leave him...
Emily's mouth twitched. She took out her phone from her pocket and said, "I'll call a designated driver!"
Usually, there would be designated drivers waiting near the hotel. After Emily placed the order, a designated driver in a work suit came over on a bicycle. She glanced at Simon, handed over the car key to the designated driver, and left.
After leaving the hotel, the BMW drove her back to the apartment.
Emily unbuckled her seatbelt and waved goodbye to Calvin, "Calvin, I'm going up. Drive safe!"
"Okay!" Calvin smiled.
After watching Calvin leave, Emily turned around and went into the building.
After entering the door, she turned on the light and saw Anthea's slippers on the shoe rack. It seemed Anthea was on the night shift tonight and would not come back until tomorrow. Emily was alone at home.
After changing into her pajamas, Emily received a text message from Calvin telling her that he had arrived home. Just as she was about to reply to say good night, she heard someone knocking on the door.
"Who is it?"
She walked to the door in confusion.
It was so late at night. She wasn't expecting anyone to come.
Outside the door came a man's voice, "I am the designated driver!"
"The designated driver?"
Emily's mind was full of confusion, trying to figure out why the designated driver would come to her house. The minute she opened the door with doubts, she smelled a strong smell of wine.
Before she could know what was going on clearly, the designated driver moved Simon at her.
Emily subconsciously reached out to catch Simon, who was heavy and limp. The driver standing behind him said, "This gentleman drank too much and insisted on coming to your place. I can't do nothing but send him here!"
Emily opened her eyes wide after hearing that.
The driver then passed the car keys to her and said, "I have done my job. Please remember to give me a good comment!"
"Hey, wait a moment..." Emily called out to him.
However, the designated driver didn't leave her any choice. After saying that, he turned around and left immediately. His steps had already stepped into the elevator.
The designated driver left as quickly as Wylma and Mr. Weil...
Emily helplessly looked at Simon, who was leaning on her. Feeling unkind to leave him in the corridor, she had no choice but to close the door, carry him into the living room, and throw him on the sofa.
"Wake up, Simon!" She bent over and kicked him.
