Simon looked at the female nurse in front of him and asked seriously, "Connie, what's the matter?"
"Actually, it's not a big deal..." Connie crossed her hands in front of her. She looked back at the female colleagues and wanted to say more, "Dr. Chin, I just want to ask if you have time tonight? There's a very good movie recently. It's a science fiction movie. I think you would like it!"
"I'm sorry, I don't have the time!" Simon directly refused.
Of course, he didn't have time. He had to pick up his woman from work.
Seeing that he refused again, Connie was a little anxious. She stepped forward and said, "Dr. Chin, if you don't like watching movies and love cooking, I can accompany you to cook! I can do anything!"
If the first part of her invitation was still ordinary, then the attempt of the latter request was very obvious.
Looking at the nurse who was looking at him with expectation in her eyes, Simon frowned, "Sorry, Connie, do you have some misunderstanding?"
His face showed seriousness, and his tone was calm, "When I brought you home that day, I have made it clear to you. I just wanted you to put on a play for me! And I only treat you as my colleague and subordinate. I have no other thoughts. I hope you don't think too much about it!"
After saying those words, Simon directly passed her and left.
Walking into the office, he took out his cell phone again and dialed a number on the record. He wondered, "Have the roses I ordered arrived ..."
Emily walked into the classroom building with books in her arms.
She still had one last class in the
afternoon. Although she was in the most relaxed mood every day when she saw the innocent smiles of children, but today she couldn't lift up her spirits, and she still had some resentment.
For the whole day, she wanted to clench her little fist and spit out swear words.
But she couldn't. After all, this was the result of her own suffering!
When she was ready to go up to the second floor, a girl ran to her, shouting, "Miss Sam!"
"Hmm?" Emily smiled.
The girl held a pink rose in her hand. She had seen enough red or yellow roses, and sometimes blue ones. But it was her first time to see pink roses, and it was in such a plateau area. She was very surprised.
When she saw the rose being held up and handed to her, she was even more surprised, "This is for me?"
"Yes!" The girl nodded without hesitation.
Emily took it in surprise. She was a little confused and asked, "Why did you give me roses? Where did you get them?"
The girl replied in a crisp voice, "A big brother asked me to give it to you!"
Big brother?
Emily was confused.
She looked at the pink roses in her hand and still couldn't figure out where this so-called big brother came from. She shook her head and went upstairs with the roses. When she was halfway there, another boy came.
"Miss Sam, here you are!"
Another pink rose was handed over!
Emily took it with hesitation and asked tentatively, "Is it a big brother who asked you to hand it to me?"
"Yes, yes!" The boy nodded immediately.
Emily was dumbfounded.
On her way to the classroom, she couldn't remember how many students came to hand her pink roses.
