Pursuing My Ex Wife In Full Bloom Spring novel Chapter 162

As the sensor-activated lights turned on when Scott came out of the bathroom, the candle's flicker became rather inconspicuous.

It was easy to miss for an unsuspecting person, but it was still there. It was always there.

Even if it was inconspicuous, even if it emitted a weak flicker, the air around it was different because it existed.

The bedroom quieted down. The slightest sound would be magnified.

Scott could hear sounds coming from the bathroom accompanied by the occasional sounds of water trickling.

Scott stood outside the bathroom door and quietly listened. He fished out a cigarette and put it in his mouth.

He did not light the cigarette and merely let it hang in his mouth. His gaze changed.

Naomi was taking it slowly. She knew what would happen if she fell, so she did everything carefully. She had the longest shower in history.

She felt much better after a shower. Her mind was also clearer.

She then recalled that she did not have any change of clothes, but Scott fortunately prepared a shower robe for her. It eased her nerves slightly.

She put on the robe and wrapped it around her form so tightly that not even her collarbone was showing. Her legs, however, were still exposed.

She took the hair dryer to blow-dry her hair and check if she was properly covered. Once she made sure she was all set, she leaned against the wall and slowly headed out.

She did not want to trouble Scott, so whenever she could, she would do it on her own. She finally arrived at the door.

She opened the door and was surprised to see Scott standing there.

When Scott heard the door behind him open, he kept the cigarette and turned. The wave of hot air and faint aroma washed over him. She stood in front of him with her long hair cascading down her shoulders, looking at him with surprise.

She did not expect him to wait for her right outside the door.

He looked at her. "Are you done?" His voice was hoarse as if he had a cold.
