Pursuing My Ex Wife In Full Bloom Spring novel Chapter 243

However, she knew she could not allow Dylan to pick up Charles from the airport. Dylan still thought she and Scott were married, so she could not let Dylan find out what was going on between her and Charles.

"I've already given him the address of my hotel. He's already on his way. You don't need to send someone to pick him up, Dylan," Naomi said patiently but determinedly.

Dylan blinked a couple of times as though trying to read Naomi's thoughts. He said, "Alright. Why don't we all go for lunch together when he arrives at the hotel? The more the merrier, right?"

With that, he instructed the person on the other end of his call, "Go to the Southern Hotel right now and wait. I'll give further instructions once our friend has arrived."

With that, he hung up before Naomi could even protest.

Naomi was frozen in shock and finally said, "It's fine, Dylan, really. I can go pick him up myself. I was planning to go for lunch with him since he doesn't know anyone else here."

With that, she glanced out the window. The car had already made its way onto the freeway, where the traffic was significantly heavier. She pointed at a junction and said, "Just let me get out there. I'll hail a taxi back to the hotel."

Before Dylan could even reply, Naomi picked up her bag and waited for the driver to stop so she could get out. Dylan raised his brows at this. That was the first time he had seen Naomi so adamant about something. She would find a reason to turn his offer down no matter what.

He was rather surprised by this, but something occurred to him, and he quickly changed his mind. A mischievous glint flashed through his eyes as he said, "You're right, Naomi. Perhaps it was inconsiderate of me to suggest that."

He furrowed his brows like he meant it. "I'll get out of the junction instead. You can take this car back to the hotel. I'll hail a taxi."

He glanced at his watch and added, "It's still a long way from the hotel. I don't want you to be late meeting your friend, Naomi. Just do as I say. I'll hail a taxi myself. It doesn't matter if I am late anyway since my Grandpa will be there to welcome everyone."
