Pursuing My Ex Wife In Full Bloom Spring novel Chapter 249

Charles smiled and said, "Okay."

He looked at the menu and ordered the jalapeno chicken.

Naomi was a little surprised. She said, "That's quite spicy, right?" She recalled that Charles could not take spicy foods. In that regard, he was similar to Scott. It was only natural, given that they were both from Willowstown.

"It's fine. I've been eating too much bland food recently. I want something spicy to shake things up."

Then, Charles handed the menu to the waiter. "That's all for now."

"Alright." The waiter was about to leave when Naomi said, "Go light on the jalapeno."

The waiter nodded and took note of it. "I've taken note of it." Then, the waiter left.

Charles poured tea for Naomi. The tea was also a local specialty. Naomi thanked him before taking a sip. She had tasted the same tea before—it was not bad.

Charles said, "The jalapeno chicken is one of this restaurant's classic dishes. People who enjoy spicy food would come here to try it."

Naomi blinked. "You've been here before?"

Charles chuckled. He set the teapot down and picked up his teacup to take a sip before saying, "I came here with my uncle when I was in middle school. My uncle enjoyed spicy food and brought me here. He ordered the jalapeno chicken. It tasted fantastic. This restaurant has been around for a long time. I was not sure if they would still have this dish. I am surprised to learn that they still do."

Naomi understood. "Then, I would have to give it a try." Naomi could tolerate spicy foods. Unlike Amelia, she would not have a skin breakout even if she had too much spicy food. Amelia often complained about it to Naomi.
