REBORN: The Retaliation of the Fallen Luna novel Chapter 2

ASHINA

My father was shocked by what I said. Can’t blame him, though. He told me for ages to accept Garth as my mate, but I always made excuses. And the ceremony of my mating with Garth tonight had started the day with heavy words that came from my mouth.-

In the morning, I told Dad that no one could make me accept Garth because only Charles would I choose to be my mate.

“Are you thinking of something to fool us?" Dad doubtfully asked me. "I know how you hated the idea of Garth as your mate and now you are telling me you wanted to marry him.”

My father’s weary eyes were evident, and I sighed. I needed to make him believe, but he was right; since I learned that Garth was my mate, I kept nagging that I would reject him on the night of the ceremony.

Thinking about what words to make Dad believe me, that changing my mind is like changing my shoes, made me glance at Jenella. I saw the ugly expression on her face, but she immediately changed and bowed her head when she saw me giving her a side glance. I smirked. She is acting again as the soft and submissive one. What a loving sister, indeed!

“Believe me, Daddy. I wanna marry Garth. I will accept his mark at the ceremony tonight.”

“Really? Are you not—”

“Please… I can’t do more explaining, but I need to know where Garth is? I wanna see him.”

Probably my father saw how determined I was, so he nodded while looking at me.

“Garth is in the guest house. He is there with his beta and some from his pack.”

“Thank you.” I kissed my father’s cheek and ran out of our house. Before I left Dad and Jenella, I saw the face of the latter become redder out of the unexpected turn of events I caused.

‘You have no chance in this life, Jenella!’

I am thinking about how to ruin Jenella’s plans while doing a run-walk to see Garth again. I have known Garth for two years. I was only eighteen, and he was twenty. The unfamiliar scent that made me know that he was my mate made me aloof from him because I wanted Charles to be my mate and not him.

My wolf kept telling me that Garth was my true mate, but I didn’t know why I had been attracted to Charles before. Now I am thinking about it. I know there would be an answer.

I was in front of the guest house when Trion, the beta of Garth’s pack, blocked my way to enter.

“Let me in!” I said and daggered him with my stare. “I need to see Garth!”

“Are you and your boyfriend’s still not contented to what you did to him. He won’t see you. He hated being your mate!”

“What are you saying?!” I angrily asked.

“Alpha Garth was pestered, bullied, and insulted by some friends of your beloved Charles. If you proudly choose that omega, you better stay away from our alpha.”

“I am Garth’s mate, and once I said I wanna see him, you must follow my words! Now get out of my sight, Trion!” I pushed the beta, and even though I heard his growl, it didn’t scare me. I had been killed and lived again, so nothing could stop me now. I need to see Garth, and I will have his mark as his mate. I need to do everything to make our bond stronger.

I entered the guest house where the pack stayed for the upcoming ceremony. I faced more growling Lycans in front of me like they were ready to mess with me.

“Garth!” I shouted. “I will marry you Garth! Mark me! Make me your luna!!!”

I was shouting those words, and I heard the amusement from some of the Lycans inside, but Trion's laughter echoed around.
