Rewriting My Heart's Fate novel Chapter 447

I made it! I made a name for myself in the fashion industry on my own! From this moment onward, the name "Evelyn" will be synonymous with Rithor Fashion!

Just then, a commotion broke out in the crowd. Curious, I looked over. In the next second, my entire body froze.

Ethan had appeared on the scene without me noticing. His tall, imposing figure stood like a mountain, and his handsome face was as cold as frost. Dressed in a sleek black suit, he exuded elegance, his frame both slender and upright.

The moment our gazes met, it felt like my breath caught in my throat.

He was back in the country?

In those deep, enigmatic eyes swirled emotions that I couldn't begin to comprehend. I wanted to run, but as if I was nailed to the ground, I was unable to move.

Ethan strode forward with long, purposeful steps, and the crowd automatically parted to make way for him. Before I knew it, he was standing before me, his towering frame casting an invisible yet palpable pressure over me.

I forced a stiff smile. "What a coincidence, Mr. Grayson. I didn't expect to see you here."

I tried to keep my tone as casual as possible. "Did you come especially to congratulate me? I'm truly flattered."

The words had barely left my mouth before I wished I could bite my own tongue off. What a hollow, insincere line!

Ethan's gaze bore into me coldly. His thin lips pressed into a hard, straight line. After what felt like an eternity, he finally spoke in a low voice. "That's right. I heard you won over the whole of Rithor and opened your own studio. I came specifically to offer my congratulations."

His tone was flat, devoid of any discernible emotion.

I forced another awkward smile, my mind a mess. Was he sincerely congratulating me or mocking me for leaving without a word back then?

Caught in this awkward standoff, I had no idea how to respond.
