Rewriting My Heart's Fate novel Chapter 448

"I'm sorry, Evelyn. Since you said that… I… I'm going back to Englenor. I wish you great success in your career and a bright future."

Ethan gave me one last, deep look before turning and walking away. His tall figure slowly receded into the crowd, eventually blending into the sea of people.

I stood there, staring blankly in his direction, my heart aching with reluctance.

Oh, Ethan. You should know that you were never a passing figure in my heart. But after everything we had been through, could we ever go back to the way things were?

"Evelyn, why did Mr. Grayson leave? What did he say to you?" Kevin asked. He and Lianne noticed the commotion and rushed over with concern.

Snapping out of my daze, I forced a smile. "Nothing much. He's just here to catch up. He's heading back to Englenor and came to say goodbye."

"So, what was the purpose of his trip back this time?"

I didn't reply.

Kevin and Lianne exchanged a look, seemingly sensing something, but wisely chose not to press further.

"Evelyn, the opening ceremony is about to start. You should get ready," Lianne said, skillfully changing the topic.

I nodded, quickly collecting myself. Today was an important day for me, and I couldn't afford to let the past distract me any longer.

The opening ceremony of Evelyn Studio went off as scheduled.

I changed into a dark blue evening gown. It was simple and elegant. This was a dress I had specifically designed for today, symbolizing a new beginning and fresh hope.

On stage, I faced the microphone and spoke with conviction."Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the grand opening of Evelyn Studio! Today is a monumental day for me.

"From an unknown designer to gaining recognition in the industry and now establishing my own studio, the journey has been fraught with challenges and hardships. But I have never given up on my dreams!"
