Rewriting My Heart's Fate novel Chapter 461

I took a deep breath. Then, I straightened up and looked coldly at Sasha. "Ms. Langley, thank you for your kind reminder. But whatever happens between Mr. Grayson and I are none of your concern."

I brushed past her shoulder. "Oh, and next time, you might want to check your lipstick. It's smudged all over your teeth."

I strode out of the restroom without waiting for her to respond.

"Evelyn, you bitch!" Sasha's voice rang out with rage.

I turned to find her storming toward me. Her eyes were burning with fury. "Evelyn!"

She raised her hand high to slap me.

I smirked. I was amused by how easily Sasha could be provoked.

After that fateful night when Ethan had taken control of my life, I vowed to become stronger—not just in my career but in every aspect of my being.

Countless hours of fitness routines and sports training had honed both my body and mind. I had mastered combat techniques that had become second nature.

In a flash, I intercepted her slap with a punch to her face. Then, I grabbed her throat and pressed her against the sink.

"Ahh!" She was visibly shaken. Her voice trembled as she stammered, "This is a lawful society… You actually hit me? I'll make sure everyone hears about this! They'll know how violent you are!"

I chuckled softly and said nothing.

When I returned to the table, Ethan's gaze was locked on me. His face was clouded with concern. "Are you okay? You look pale."

I shook my head and forced a small smile. "I'm fine. Maybe I've just been overworked lately. Honestly, I don't have much of an appetite. Shall we settle the bill and leave?"

"Alright." He didn't press further and went to the counter to pay.

We left the restaurant and walked side by side through the streets.

The sky hung heavy and gray. Thick clouds were shrouding the sunlight, casting a somber mood over the city.

I stayed silent, lost in my thoughts. Even though I'd put Sasha in her place, her cutting words lingered like a thorn buried in my chest, stinging with every thought.

Suddenly, I tripped over something, jolting me from my reverie.
