“How long more do you need?”
“A day or two perhaps.”
“Hurry.”
After briefly conversing with Blake, James hung up the phone.
Soon, he arrived at the military region. Along the way, the soldiers saluted him.
In the Emperor’s office in the military region…
James was sitting on a chair with a few one-star generals standing before him. He scanned them and asked, “Who was the one in charge of the Red Flame Army after the previous Emperor’s death?”
Nathaniel took a step forward and said, “That would be General Micah.”
“Tell him that I’d like to see him,” James said.
He scrutinized the information he obtained about the generals of the Red Flame Army.
Braxton Micah was a fifty-five-year-old three-star general.
“Understood.”
“You’re dismissed.”
James waved, and the generals left.
However, Nathaniel remained.
James glanced at him and asked, “Is something the matter?”
Wearing a smile, Nathaniel asked, “Sir, do you intend to weed out the remnants of the previous Emperor?”
James looked at him with a slight grin and said, “Remnants or not, it is our duty to serve the people and the nation. However, I believe the time has come to reorganize the Red Flame Army. After all, I don’t want any incorrigible, corrupted figures in the army.”
“In that case, allow me to present you the evidence I have collected,” Nathaniel whispered.
