James would have to wait until he reached a higher rank before he was eligible to enter the library chamber.
The only person he could depend on now was the Spirit Tool, Nova.
Nova was at Emperor Jabari’s side for thousands of years, so it was safe to assume he must have mastered many signature martial art skills.
Swoosh!
A hazy silhouette flickered in front of him and gradually took the physical form of an old man.
The old man wore a gray robe. He had white hair and a beard but had a lively expression. He looked at James with a smile and asked, “How may I help you, Master?”
James finally saw the Spirit Tool’s actual appearance for the first time. However, this was inconsequential at the moment. He came to the Celestial Abode to learn some signature martial art skills. Although he was confident in his current strength, he wanted to learn some powerful skills as an assurance for the battle ahead.
“You have to help me, Spirit Tool.”
“Calm down, Master. Speak a little slower.”
James explained, “This is what happened. I agreed to participate in a fight to the death. If I lose, I’ll die, and one city on earth along with its inhabitants will be eradicated…”
He briefly explained the bet he made with the Outsiders.
“Oh, it’s the Son of Heaven?”
Nova smiled faintly and said, “Although his rank is higher than yours, he doesn’t have a stable foundation. With your current strength, defeating him should be a simple task.”
James replied, “Still, I’m worried. I agreed to their terms. Not only will I die, one of the earth’s cities will be buried with me if I lose. Tens of thousands of lives rest on my shoulders right now. I need to ensure that there’s a one hundred percent chance of victory.”
Nova said, “You aren’t capable of learning my Supernatural Powers yet. How about I get Sophie to tutor you for the next few days?”
Speaking of Sophie, James’ curiosity was piqued.
After he became the Celestial Abode’s owner, he established a connection and obtained information about the space. This included details about Sophie.
He discovered that she was not an artificial being but was, in fact, a living human.
“Nova, what kind of person is Sophie? What’s the reason she has to stay in the Celestial Abode?” James asked out of curiosity.
“Sophie…”
The Spirit Tool thought for a while and said, “That’s not for you to know for now. I’m sure, with time, you’ll eventually know more about her.”
